Latency issues on Canada East Realm
I noticed something similar a couple weeks into the league. Not sure if the change was since the start of this league or some time into it, but I'm consistently at 60-70ms latency or more on Canada East now where I would usually be at 15-20 last I checked some time in Settlers.
Not sure what happened, but its horrible, and now I play on Washington at around 30-35ms (or even Texas at 50ms is faster than Canada for me). Considering I'm close to Toronto, there is definitely something weird going on. I read something about network attacks on GGG early league around the time I noticed the latency and switched over... I thought maybe it was some extra layer of protection GGG added temporarily causing it, but I dont know if thats even a thing, I just couldnt think of any other reason at the time. Anyway I've been checking every few days and it's still not fixed so I thought I'd check forums to see if there was any info. Plz fix GGG, the enjoyment factor is defintiely lowered having to play like this. |

The total radio silence from GGG is pretty frustrating.
If there's an issue they are working on, just let us know. If they've had to relocate the Canada East realm out to the West Coast, then tell us and rename the realm accordingly. Any communication from GGG would be really appreciated. |

GGG, Please respond on this, it's pretty frustrating. Have you moved the servers to a different part of the country? Is your host having routing issues? Why does the login page show a ping of around 39 but it's actually 90+ when I get into the game? Give us something... Thank you. |

I was thinking my latency issues were on my end but I'm (in the Montreal area) getting consistently lower ping from Washington and even Texas this league.
When selecting the realm, it shows Canada at ~30ms but when actually in game (even in hideout) its 70ms at least with spikes up to 100. I experienced the same issues playing PoE2 a month or so ago, so it really seems like an issue with this particular server location. |

GGG, please fix the routing issues on Canada East. Login page shows a ping of 39ms, but is actually 90+ as soon as I log in. It's been like this for quite a while now. Any official response at all would be really appreciated. |

Still not fixed, and still no response from GGG. Pretty frustrating. |

Bumping for you -
I have similar issues on Canada East, Texas, and Washington DC. I think it's not server specific? Sometimes on the login screen it will select Canada East but show all other servers pinging at 200-300ms. I've my own post, but feel your pain and the radio silence is frustrating. Bumped. |

" " Instead of guessing, do the WinMTR below when the issue is happening. Need to rule out the issue.. your connection, routing, or server.
WinMTR
This is what GGG recommends: Ensure to do this when the lag, high ping, packet loss, or connection issues are happening. https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/1377789 After running this test per the instructions please link the URL of the pastebin back here The instructions are the same for PoE2, just locate the file in the appropriate installation folder. " If you had read my original post, you would have seen the link to the WinMTR pastebin. From my original post, again: https://pastebin.com/L7n8r6c3 And a new one from just now: https://pastebin.com/inwAK4rV Still having the same issue of getting low ping at login screen, or today it was low in my hideout as well, but as soon as I enter a map it jumps from 38 to 95. And when I exit the map back to my hideout, the ping that was 38 in there is now 96 like it was in the map. |

" Sorry, I did not see it.. I'm assuming you mean the one from June 5th? That paste shows what looks like a high ping routing CDN issue. The new one shows the same thing. I doubt GGG would intervene here. Just curious if you've tried a VPN (temporarily) to test different routing to this exact server location? Last edited by Eleven777#0993 on Sep 5, 2025, 2:16:48 PM
