I think make Unique Item too strong is a wrong direction for POE2.

if everybody is using Unique Item, it means nobody will craft epic rare item, also means the cost of Div/Ex/Chaos Orb is low. then the currency will be worthless.


Sorry, do you mean POE2 has crafting?Shouldn't it be gambling?DIV is completely useless in POE2. Under the current circumstances, POE2 does not have any crafting, and everything is just gambling.

I'm sorry but sacrificing Crit Spell Chance, Crit spell damage, +4 spell skills is not even remotely worth for that staff. You're trying to rubberband the mana problem Sorceress has but the only way to solve it is by solving the mana problem. This staff is gonna suck for lategame delirium mapping. Sorceress damage is already quite low and this is only going to make it lower to the point where you might as well just go recoup Chrono Whirling slash and roleplay a warrior and its gonna be 10x better than equipping this staff. This is someone saying "Oh lets make the double chill nodes from Stormweaver Ascendancy useful" but this entire spell will do 0 damage to bosses, 0 damage to delirium mobs and will absolutely get obliderated in breaches. It might look cool to an average player but it's quite quite bad.

At this point I'm tempted to ask: Is anyone testing these classes/Builds on anything harder than non-juiced t15 maps and +0 bosses?


Totally agreed with you , also the question is do 3/4 uniqs in game same sucks like this staff , coz im thinking its waste the time making 500 uniq if 75% of them are not worth to play

I don't get why just about every unique in PoE 2 should have drawbacks that the player needs to consider. Uniques should bring excitement, not frustration.

If there would be no drawbacks everyone would run around with just uniques. Why bother with normals/magics/rares then? It's called 'unique', not 'super godly ultra item' for a reason.

Not at all. Almost every unique (even Astramantis) has an opportunity cost in the stats you are not getting by equipping that item over a rare. For most uniques currently in the game, this opportunity cost is as much as 5 mods or so. That's already a massive drawback. Adding an additional penalty on top of that is typically too much unless if the unique's effect is ungodly powerful.

Weapons are especially notable because they are a huge part of your damage calculation, and damage is the lifeblood of pretty much every build. That opportunity cost on weapons hurts so much more than on other slots, so adding big drawbacks on top of that is just too extreme in many cases. That's why the vast majority of unique weapons in this game see literally no use, and the ones that do see use (like pillar) gets vision'd quickly.

Should work nicely on my Chayula MoM build - I kind of dont regenerate enough ES cause I dont spent enough mana (you dont leech mana when you are full on mana and therefore you dont leech ES). With MoM I guess the xbow will take mana so I am looking forward to the testing!


It's the skills not the crossbow that cost mana bud and I don't really care for monk haven't played much monk so can't speak to that. And I also don't usually run es. And it's hard yo survive with 2400 hp and life leech/ life gained on hit let alone us life for skill cost

Life drain isn't as bad as you might think. A lot of warriors play blood magic right now and survive just fine with their 4K or so HP, and warriors stand in melee. A ranged character with any decent amount of ES buffer and/or good leech (which the xbow graciously provides) will do just fine.

Heck, the crossbow doesn't even drain your life as long as you're still killing stuff with it.

You're right uniq should be uniq not "unusable trash" , i've was using only 1 uniq since start of EA and that was the everlasting gaze , what they've done with this uniq you probably now

What are you talking about? Divines are not useless, they are there to give you a more perfect rare item, I use them when I have enough of them on my rares and uniques to make them perfect.
