PoE2: Early Access or Paid Release in Disguise?
" Well, because 480 $ total is really low for early access and a lot of people got it and 30 $ for a key is basicaly stealing... sooo I expect a lot of people to participate in early access. Not just a few like in most beta testing. Sooo GGG created a hype for people in this early access. Nothing more/less. Last edited by Akheira#7726 on Nov 26, 2024, 1:10:34 PM

People defending this crap are hilarious. Especially the ones saying "the game is incomplete" and that's why his starwars analogy doesn't work. No, it more than works, and it proves how low your IQ is, that means you're willing to go watch an incomplete movie to "support" the people who made it. Imagine saying you want to support a movie studio in Hollywood just because they make good movies so you pay extra for a worse experience. That's how ridiculous all of you sound.
You are supposed support them AFTER their job is DONE. Not before. People used to get paid to test games and now millions pay to be the Guinea Pigs. No wonder the industry is in shambles lmao. Y'all deserve D4 if anything you guys lowkey love it. Go support Blizzard since you guys are trying to create Blizzard 2.0. They have POE 1 making them more money than you and the next 10 generations of your family will ever see, every day. They are fleecing y'all and you're happy about it... Its disgusting honestly. "They need funding" while charging 10-20 bucks for a sword skin you can barely see, LOL. Gaming has become absolute trash because y'all cant control yourselves. We cant even have any actual free game releases without the studios charging for "early access" anymore. Good luck playing any new "free game" on release from now on because you clowns just set a new industry standard. Now all "free games" will release in EA then after they make 1 year worth of profits they'll go F2P because its MORE PROFITABLE to make it free at that point, to bring in new players to fleece. lololol what a clown show. Im late AF on this but I just couldn't read all that nonsense and say nothing. I'm not against supporting a game if you like it, that's none of anyone's business except your own, but this EA crap has gone waaay too far. 90% of the players were brand new players to POE who just wanted to shove it in Blizzards face for D4 but you guys love MTX and paying money for no reason so what's the problem? You guys CLEARLY love paying for incomplete games. They need to start teaching critical thinking skills in school again. Everyone just repeats what popular streamers/youtubers say like a bunch of parrots. Last edited by efthisname#1713 on Aug 12, 2025, 5:27:04 AM

Probably the thing PoE1 players should be talking more is the fact that they thought they were supporting a big expansion and graphics overhaul for PoE1 when the money was going towards PoE2. It wasn't revealed until very late that PoE2 is a separate game and PoE1 gets nothing.

Who cares poe1 is better by a mile and it's still f2p with the expectation that you'll pay at some point. It's like the people hyped for the new Iphones or something when their old phone still works just fine if not better.

I explained why I said all that. Yeah I'm "that bored" the game is still in EA because of all the clowns like y'all in this thread who defended this nonsense. If y'all just held out for a single week the game would have went completely F2P for everyone 100% guaranteed.
One Guy is taking about people "not having 30 bucks" as if the global economy isn't in complete ruin or as if everyone lives in a first world country. People are going homeless left and right... get real. Sure its just 30 bucks but you must be living under a rock if you think everyone has extra money laying about. "who cares" after the damage is done lololol. Last edited by efthisname#1713 on Aug 13, 2025, 12:02:51 AM

Boy I've got some bad news for yall if you think EA's AREN'T secret paid releases with the chance they don't have to do all the work.

I mean I didn't pay anything for PoE2, so it was free me for and for a lot of people. $30 is a very small amount to pay for something that will give you hundreds of hours of entertainment. I've seen you reply to people in regards to the cost and where you live is irrelevant. If $30 is so life changing a video game should be last on your priority list, regardless of your situation.
Also, many companies run EA's now as a way to get feedback and help from the community in order to finish the product. There isn't problem with a company that does this, as long as they are straight forward with plans and GGG has been good about this. Overall there isn't a problem with EA. If the cost is too much then wait for the full release. Not everything is meant for everyone and sometimes you just can't buy stuff you want. Nothing more |

" If you're too poor buying a game consider searching for work ;) Also don't lay words in my mouth, it makes you look stupid. Current Build: Penance Brand

I have no problem with paying for early access but OP has a point.
What happened to the days when companies PAID US to be testers. Now they have found a loop hole for us to PAY THEM to test unfinished games. You can feel priveledged to be able to play the game before everyone else. (that isnt willing to pay for early access which is going to be not very many people) but it doesnt change the fact that essentially we are being exploited. most companies will charge less for early access to encourage people to buy it. GGG is asking people to pay more. " ahahahaha, this post did not age well at all. almost a year later and we are only about to arrive at 0.3. you still think this games gonna make it to 1.0 by the end of 2025? " the difference is most companies will issue a discount on their game to get people to test it.. (Titan Quest 2 is giving a 50% discount for those who buy early access) it is still exploitation, but at a far more minimal level. GGG is asking people to pay more for early access, that is where the problem lies. Last edited by ZaruenVoresu#5823 on Aug 20, 2025, 6:39:30 AM
