I'm now able to run the game on my mac natively.
I combined a few of the other Mac threads that all seem to be related to the same issue. These are the steps I have taken and it seems to have gotten things to work. You are going to have to be comfortable with a bit of the command line to make it work. in ~/Library/Application Support/Path of Exile > cp update.dat update.zip > unzip update.zip > cp -R Path Of Exile.app "/Users/<USERNAME>/Library/Application Support/Steam/steamapps/common/Path of Exile" > sudo xattr -cr "/Users/<USERNAME>/Library/Application Support/Steam/steamapps/common/Path of Exile/PathOfExileClient.app" > sudo codesign --force --deep --sign - "/Users/<USERNAME>/Library/Application Support/Steam/steamapps/common/Path of Exile/PathOfExileClient.app" Now run the "/Users/<USERNAME>/Library/Application Support/Steam/steamapps/common/Path of Exile/Path of Exile.app/Contents/MacOS/Path\ of\ Exile" executable. Updating of the game should start to happen.. Once it is complete, you should be able to launch the game by pressing Launch. I can't seem to launch it from Steam, but it does work from the command line. It looks like the update installer that comes out to check versions, etc has some sort of bad metadata that is preventing Mac to run it successfully. That's why we had to change the guardian bit and resign the package. Once that was done, the update process and game seems to run as it should. I'm having the same issue as above with the latest 16.06.25 patch.
Mac M2 Pro "Login Error There has been a patch that you need to update to. Please restart Path of Exile." I've tried redownloading the game data, but that did not help. Game worked fine yesterday. |

Hi all, got to fix the issue on my M4 Pro MacBook yesterday, no crashing or other issues since so I'll just post my fix here maybe it helps others:
(CrossOver - SteamClient) - Install the game through the CrossOver Steam client - Go to the game in Steam and go "Browse Local Files" - From the Explorer go to Documents -> My Games -> Path of Exile - Edit the production_Config.ini (just double click in the Explorer) -> search for "device_type" and "rendered_type" and make sure both of them are set to "DirectX12" (device_type is obsolete but just to make sure) - Launch the game through the Steam client after saving the .ini file |

" I noticed a change in the Path of Exile.app There is a folder inside of it, "MacOS", that used to contain a unix executable file "Path of Exile" and a PathOfExileClient.app. Now there is only the unix executable file, but its much larger in size. Looking at my backup, it used to be about 5 MB, now its 80 MB. The PathOfExileClient.app that is now gone was 90 MB. |

" I had to do something similar, in my case, using crossover, it is working fine. A pain that GGG cannot fix the native app. |
