Failed game balance if Melee nerfed again next league, Build diverse and bad game design

Probably buff spell and other stuff instead

Bring back stuff like Affliction Charms or Sanctum Sanctified Relic is so good for build diversity, i dont know why GGG keep remove things that makes builds so much diverse

Affliction league is so much fun because its so hard when map is juiced and you have stuff like Wildwoods ascendancy to keep scaling your character to do the hard stuff

Also just nerf 80% effectiveness of all tier 17 map, just give it more Damage Reduction and overall Damage is good enough because rolling map right now is so annoying
I think i can call it bad game design when you have to spend so much time prepare for your map
Also rolling alot of map does do damage to your eyes and your finger, my hand hurt because i have to click so much

relics and charms was nothing but pure player power.
We did got quite a lot of additional player power with just this patch not even including the rune enchants, is that still not enough or do we need even more Path of Diablo power creep while content is getting easier and easier?

i kinda like more player power.

more player power for a good player means killing something in 1 second now takes 0.8 seconds.

but for weaker players more power helps cut down from 1 minute to 40 seconds? which is a huge difference for them.

but that said, OP is just worried that melee would get nerfed again

tbh, if it were nerfed, i d simply not play poe1 again. in fact i still see areas that ggg could improve.

for example the mod that makes nearby enemies immune to damage. as a tru melee-er, that mod is total fucking bullshit. you have a short frame of time to realize the aura is turned off for you to quickly engage before it turns back on, which is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too fast. this is a non issue if you're a non trumelee-er as you can simply spam aoe/projectiles that would kill the offending rare mob that has that mod from a distance.

Honestly you can expect some melee adjustments ahead with the next league as they did went a bit over board with some of the changes.
Is it going to kill melee? prob not as the archetype was also already fine to play prior the change.

They'll prob tone down the benefits of endu charges some and also nerf autoexertion in some way.

As a heavy strike user, the truest of true meleer that has ever trued. There is no immune mod that effects gameplay.

Anyone having trouble with this on a non true flicker strike teleporting all across the screen must have issues moving their mouse over a mob.

if anything, melee is still very weak and needs a complete overhaul

LS/MS being op doesn't change this
They didn't truly buff melee. They buffed Slams and stuff that just happens to use a melee weapon as it's source of damage. Damage output was never much of a problem anyways.

It was damage up-time and survival. Which is still an issue without stacking the hell outa Endurance changes which they'll prolly nerf and 30k+ Armor. Max Res still gets dumped on more than SS due to exposure, pen and negative resists. All of which have half potency for SS.

They don't need to give enemies some made up Damage Reduction. They need to make defensive nodes worth taking. Instead GGG insists on making defenses less and less reliable.

I want to agree with this, but GGG has a habit of buffing monsters and every time they give you more player power, ultimately resulting in those weaker players falling back to 1 minute or longer.
PoE players: Our game has a wide diversity of builds.

Also PoE players: The [league mechanic] doesn't need to be nerfed, you just need to play a [current meta] build!

MFers found strength in their Afflictions. They became reliant on them. I am not so foolish.

agreed. its like back when all gems were nerfed. i cant recall how much but during that period we lost a huge amount of power.

what did we get to compensate? did the enemies hit for less damage? did the enemies get reduced health?

nothing.
