The problem is getting bigger - game crashes without error message

Hi guys, it's me again!

I have some great news! I've done some more possible troubleshooting and the game hasn't crashed since a few changes. I've played for about 3 hours now with no problems.

First I found a video on YouTube from last season where someone presented some solutions. I've implemented some of the approaches that are relevant to me. I'll link it at the end.

I then found an interesting post on Reddit. This sounds strange at first, but a user is talking about limiting your CPU clock. There are supposed to be problems with CPUs that are "too fast". This probably causes problems when loading data or with the shader cache, which leads to crashes. I haven't been able to find the post anymore.
To implement this, I downloaded the "AI Suite 3" for my ASUS mainboard. There I can limit my CPU clock with a mouse click without any problems. Before playing PoE, I limit my CPU from 6GHz down to 4GHz. Since then, I haven't had any crashes. I think that was the problem for me.

There are a lot of people here with good hardware where the problem could well be due to that.

It might also help to delete the following folders:
ShaderCacheD3D11.packed
ShaderCacheD3D12.packed
ShaderCacheVulkan.packed
and then start Steam as administrator and repair Path of Exile.

I hope that, like me, you can completely eliminate the problem for the time being!

Your Xako!

I have to say big THANKS to Xako!
My mainboard is Gigabyte, and I use "Gigabyte control center" to modify my CPU from 56 to 40, and it instantly make me feel so smooth.
Now will be never feel nervous to crash when loading and login!
Yes thank xako, i got desperate enough and downloaded ai suite 3. not sure but i changed performance core ratio to 40 and efficient core ratio to 40. No crash and smooth loading. Im still not convince we should have to do this to fix the game but it working so far. Thanks again
fix it please i cant farm maps with delirium***
i played all season and im lvl 99
was hoping to push to 100 for the first time...
i had a few crashes during my play but now it crash after like 5 min every time, whereever i am

i reinstalled the game, even tried to install steam version but same problem...
Same problem. I have played all league with no issues, and then yesterday and today the game randomly freezes loading into zones. Sometimes I can play and get to the next zone, sometimes I cannot even load in after picking my character. The game does not crash to desktop, it just freezes on a loading screen and I have to force quit.

Processor: 13th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i9-13900HX, 2200 Mhz, 24 Core(s), 32 Logical Processor(s)

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Laptop GPU
Installed Physical Memory (RAM) 32.0 GB

I have deleted and reinstalled the stand alone client
I am running an i9, a GTX 3080, and 32GB of ram, and I have it crash repeatedly on either loading into a town location, or playing with some people, and repeatedly crashing in maps when I do blight. I just uninstalled and reinstalled the whole game and the problem is actually worse now.
If you have a intel 13/14th gen though, try to just lower your performance clock multiplier using Intel XTU. I had tons of crash to desktop without error and doing this fixed 99.9% of the crashes for me by going from 55x to 54x. The drawback with Intel XTU is that you just have to reapply this setting after every reboot because it doesn't save the settings.

I don't think the problem affects 100% of 13/14th gen cpus, some people have crashing problems way worse than just POE with blue screens and such. Maybe I am fortunate that outside of poe, for the 2 months this did happen, it was only isolated to this game.

This seems to be the fix for me for the time being. Question is now does that mean my 13900k needs an RMA or it something that will be address from INTEL again since this Microcode update people are still crashing.
I crash all the time. This was in the Event viewer:
