game keeps crashing

Same problem on my Laptop, ACER Nitro5, Intel i5, 16GB RAM, Nvidia RTX 4050, Win 11 Home.
same here alienware i7 13700hx, 32gb ddr5, 4070 laptop all files on ssd, keeps coming up not responding, unplayable. had no issues with previous leagues
Update on my issues, which were exclusively "Failed to connect to instance" errors.I tried so many fixes, eventually downloading POE on a diff computer (same result). Upgraded router firmware - no improvement. (I am in Adelaide, Australia)

Figured it must be packet loss causing it, so I downloaded Exitlag to try (always been suspicious of how much benefit this would give, considering I have good internet, great ping etc.)

I entered a map, found my first labyrinth trial and crashed trying to enter. I turned on exitlag, and then I was able to get in the trial fine. To test it, I turned off exitlag (have to restart when you this), and then I crashed again trying to get into the same trial. Turned on Exitlag - got in fine.

Had exitlag running for multiple hours now and no crashes so far. I could even finish the eternal labyrinth - which i was dreading attempting with the issues.

Disclaimer: I am not recommending exitlag necessarily (and it does cost money, though you can get a 3 day trial), just a product like it that means you can change your route to the POE servers. I think this is key, at least for me.

edit: clarity

To add to the issue, today on going to kingsmarch:
---------------------------
Error loading type
---------------------------
"Art/Models/NPC/SettlerPeasants/attachments/Female/Boots/KalguuranBottom/attachments/rig.amd": Expected version
---------------------------
same here game is unplayable with crashes
Another patch - another miss.
It's like it got even worse.
Is there a way to start game in debug mode?
Maybe I can collect logs for devs or something?
So in nearby thread found a way to resolve issue by tuning down CPU.

I didn't find how to change ratio for Performance mode, so I set in Settings->Adnvanced options->Active power plan=Power saver
And it worked. Now loading screen are way longer, but I can jump between location without issues.

I had the same issue in the first descendant, and had to undervold my cpu for it to run at all. at the time i thought it was unreal engine to blame, but now that POE is actilg unstable i bet it is the processor.

Infact, here is an article written yesterday that goes into detail about the issue with the processor, and even has a list of processors affected by this bug. Mine was one of them.

https://www.pcmag.com/explainers/intels-raptor-lake-desktop-cpu-bug-what-to-know-what-to-do-now

im at work now but will try it when i get home and see if it fixes the stability.

Can confirm that if you're experiencing crashes at loading screens AND are using recent Intel CPU, tuning down your CPU will fix 100% of the crashes.

Here is another post that explain it in depth ;

https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/3539786/page/1#p25387869

Note that i personally only changed my "Performance Core Ratio" from "54" to "51" and nothing else, and i haven't experience a single crash since then.

To do so, use XTU, downloadable on Intel website.
