game keeps crashing

My game keeps crashing as well. This is a relatively new PC build and I am running on a 3060ti and 13th gen Intel processor. I have tried every "hack"/recommendation I could find on reddit, youtube, and on this forum and nothing seems to work. I have tried separate SSD drives, running in admin mode, changing compatibility, changing what settings are enabled/disabled in game etc. Every time I go to any town there is a 98% change of it crashing. On the very rare occasion I can get it to load. I had the same issue in Necropolis league and it caused me to get so frustrated I stopped playing.
Something to explore :

I played 4 last leagues on Steam - Mac M1 - without much trouble and since this one, constant crash.

I then downloaded the Mac Client app, created a new account and it WORKS.

Obviously I don't have in this new account my stashes and stuff, but the prefs are exactly the same as my Steam version, and I can play without any problem...

Mac users, do you crash on client or on Steam ?
Make sure your graphics card drivers up to date too
it started crashing when opening the game from the beginning now
I am having the same issue. But it is inconsistent for me. For instance, I crashed "Failed to connect to instance" to the main menu when entered Lunaris Concourse in Act 8. Entered Bath house fine, then crashed again at lunaris concourse.

Decided to go around to Solaris concourse, that loaded fine, through harbour bridge fine, then crashed again at Lunaris Concourse.

I know it isn't specific to Lunaris Concourse though, as Sarn Encampment, or any of the other towns will crash (same error = Failed to connect to instance)

edit: I restarted the game, turned sound to zero, then entered Lunaris concourse again. this time it let me. Now I am in Act 9 waiting for the next time this happens. This bug has ended three attempts at the Labyrinth so far -- not looking forward to the next time.

edit: consistently crashing at The Desecrated Chambers now. Other areas are fine. weird.

edit: Now I have done three armoury maps in a row, then the fourth one I get the same crash. put another map in, and it is fine....I'm totally confused on this error now.

Real hard time getting past the char selection and loading areas. Cogs spin one or twice (or is they feel like taunting, a couple more...) then stop. Background music goes on, and nothing happens. Clicking once brings up the stuck mouse marker, a second click bring the not-responding-wait-or-terminate window. Same thing (but not as often) when loading different areas in-game.

Noticed that since about end of previous league, when logged (heh...) on standard. Thought it would be sorted for new league. Meh.

Not gonna bother with system specs and all that crap - enough reports including these already. Game played fine until a week ago.

And no, tinkering with my setup (which I ain't too good with) is not it. This is a game, it's supposed to be fun. We don't need to jump through hoops for that.

Get your act together already.
seems to be fixed - i set the renderer to dx12 and the texture filtering to trilinear. Not sure which one of the two fixed it because i just wanna play and cant be bothered testing more lol
same here... playing on steam... GGG is aware of this problem ? idk if they are working to fix it. All my friends are getting same problem.
I'm also experiencing the same issues. Soon as you select a character, the connection fails. I am using MacOS with Steam.
There are lines of code missing apparently. This is what happens when
you don't double check your coding work for bugs and also don't check your coding for compliance across the front and backends. Basically they skipped bench testing phase before going live. Or it would seem.
The blame is with management when an big issue gets this far.

Just think of the money that is being lost from customers that can't login and play! Shame on the software team and the management that failed to check their employees work before releasing 3.25.
