Game Has Died,

| " Achshully... I would think something like this would be trivial to just objectively prove beyond any uncertainty at all? No need for just empty cocksure statements from people acting like they are the gatekeeper of reality, as if there's no easy way to just measure this shit. So lets do that: Sextants: 1 Go to Atlas and put in voidstones 1a Know and understand the implications of what most sextant mods do because a lot of them are not obvious/interactions or have abstract value you find out with wiki or meta knowledge. 2 roll blocking mods over and over (again learn which are the common mods you want to block see Step 1a) 3 roll desired mods until you got mods you want 4 keep doing that until 5 you get 6 mods you want 7 oh there it is 8 okay next one ??? Meta Steps: Nth step: mentally track or check (and recheck if like me you doubt yourself or easily forget trivial numbers) remaining charges on previous sextants. Nth+1 (Final step of however many that might have been) reroll as needed during the mapping process by repeating the simple steps of moving voidstones placing blockers and rerolling... Okay in fairness step Nth+1 was actually all the steps repeated again so basically the last step multiplies ALL THE PREVIOUS steps (however many that might be) every Nth time you run out of charges. And now by way of fair and objective comparison lets break down scarabs: 1. pick your scarabs (which mostly clearly say what they do) and run the map. Okay... Nth+1 steps compounded versus one step. I admit I'm a little out of touch with the meta playing mostly ruthless the last 4 or 5 leagues but I'm going to go out on a limb anyway and say that Nth+1 is objectively more complicated than 1 step. Pandering to players who don't want consequences for their mistakes is a perfect description of what went fundamentally wrong with D3 and 4. If they wanted mindless mobile game time waster gameplay they sure did make some perplexing choices and marketing statements for 6 fucking years. | In case of trade league it's just a failed reworked mechanic, because you didn't roll for your desired sextants, you trade, same as for scarabs now, in 2000 veiled scarabs i got only 2 nameless seer scarabs .... and of course all he had for me - Nameless seer was dot dot dot xD We should not seek to use this power to change those around us, no... This power is a means for us to change ourselves. To be reborn as Wraeclast intends us to be. - The Slaying of the Gods //Oshabi// Last edited by CarpeDiem444#7425 on May 2, 2024, 5:15:34 PM | |
| " Someone beat me to responding to this, but they explained it pretty well. It curshed several systems into a 'put in scarab and go'. There's a little thought in there about how compounding effects may screw you (i.e Abyss Scarab + Abyss of Multitudes + Abyss of Profound Depths could make a map you're not ready for). But this is true (and harder to decern) in the previous system. | |
| And can we talk about how much stash tab the new system saves? I had one quad reserved for sextants... sorting that shit was NOT fun. The opposite of knowledge is not illiteracy, but the illusion of knowledge. | |
| It was fun flipping scarabs for insane money tho. Now its way harder to do that because of how many scarabs are worthless even in bulk. | |
| Scarab changes would be neat if we had a stash tab + affinity for them. I swear GGG said they were going to release one, but ? Finding where they go in the stash and keeping them organized after each map feelsbadman. Mousing over each one while deciding which ones to run when you have a stash tab full of thousands isn't much better. Necropolis overall? This league has been pretty convenient for a solo/99% self-found build, with the currency piñatas, endless league mechanics, and multiple ways to craft some actually GG gear reliably easy. Which is super lucky considering nobody trades on PS4 anymore. Top-tier gear priced under half of the rest and still sits on the shelf for weeks (does anyone even play?) I'm sure this is probably only a filthy console problem, but I haven't logged into my PC account in years so I wouldn't know. | |
