[3.23 Cold Conversion Blade Vortex Elementalist / Occultist (League Starter + League Finisher)
Hello. How do I configure PoB to show actual DPS of the build? I imported PoB, set skill tree to level 98, skills and items to impossible escape version and still it says it does 5ml damage to guardian/pinnacle boss. Is that right? Can you really do uber bosses with this dps?

" That setup is just meant to be the jumping off point for end-game investment, since from that point it's definitely worth either specializing in mapping, bossing, etc. or committing fully to staying as well-rounded as possible. An Uber-Pinnacle-Killing setup would definitely take a little more investment, but thanks to the ease of the damage scaling it wouldn't be all that much more. |

This may be the dumbest question ever but I don't think I read anywhere what pantheons you would recommend?

Is it better to go ele first and occult after?Or i can jump occult right away if I have a good budget?
| |
" Brine King for the Elementalist for freeze immunity, then for the Occultist I usually go with Lunaris for speed. Always Aberrath for the ignite mitigation, except if you need to deal with damage reflection. |
|
" It largely depends how you'll be leveling. If you'll be leeching XP you can definitely cut straight to the occultist, but if you're mapping then it would take a pretty decent budget to match the comfort level provided by the golems. It can certainly be done though. |

Pretty satisfied with build, little bit squishy till i get hh buffs | |
" Very nice! I think a little more HP would go a long way, and consider bringing back defiance banner, since you have plenty of unreserved mana according to what I'm seeing. I'm curious about the arcanist brand not being linked to the frost bomb, do you find a noticeable difference with not having to wait for the activation frequency to tick? Could be worth saving a button, but I can also see how getting both things down before the fight and triggering immediately would be helpful. Lastly I can't help but point out that if your Blizzard Crown was just a regular helmet with no implicit you'd gain over 6% Sirus DPS |

How can I improve defenses in my build? I made some changes to the original one in this thread where I added spell suppression, some spell block and some other defensive stuff, but it's still possible to die if stars don't align. I guess it is expected? My goal is to have an all rounder, it's not bad even now with level 94, but here is the planned POB for level 96: https://pastebin.com/K2FR78iD

" I don't think the ~30/30 block is going to be particularly noticeable, but I'm sure it helps. Either way, it seems pretty clear to me that the only thing missing defensively is Armour. Molten shell is just such a huge deal for survivability, and completely outclasses immortal call numerically if you have enough armour to generate a decent sized guard. See if you can't squeeze at least determination and a granite flask in there, and ideally defiance banner too. I think it'll feel a lot better than Tempest Shield and Vitality. ~200 HP regen is better than nothing, but it's not going to save your life except in the rarest of circumstances, so I'd say it's ok to rely on leech/recover on kill. Also, you've gotta get Vaal BV back in the mix, even if it means going back down to a 20/20 gem for a while. The Vaal skill is absolutely massive for damage AND survivability, since it's the only thing that enables you to engage scary enemies from a distance. The other concern I have is that the triple-curse via arcanist brand can take a while to actually cast all three, especially without investment in cast speed. Consider a source of curse-on-hit for at least one of them. Looks solid overall though. Good stuff. |
