[3.26] Ice Dancing God - Icestorm/Cyclone/CI - Viable For Everything

What's new in 3.27, from what I see:

1. A small nerf to One Step Ahead. It no longer gives you a small increase in action speed. And instead of complete immunity to slowing effects it reduces them to no more than 10% slowing. It's still going to be a major defense against uber bosses like Sirus, Uber Elder, Maven, probably the newly added ones too.

2. Ambush & Assassinate got nerfed, buffed and split into 2 versions. It lost the 15% MORE damage mod vs Low Life. But it gained +100% crit damage bonus vs non-low-life. Is it a net gain or loss? Hard to say at this point. Need PoB updated.

3. A nerf to Simplex crafting. You can no longer meta scour it to a magic 1-mod that can be imprinted. It will remain rare. This means you have to be super careful when clicking the bases and looking at the projected results. One mis-click can ruin the craft and brick the expensive base.

The old 100 div meta crafting method was based on imprinting and will no longer work at all. No big deal there. I'll just remove it from the guide.

But the biggest implication of this nerf is that you no longer have the option to quickly craft a 2-mod amulet and use it until you have the currency for the full 3-mod craft. It's all-or-nothing now.

4. Energy Leech Support got changed into a form that's probably no longer good for this build. It wasn't super important anyway, only used for trash clearing. I'm sure we can replace it with something similar damage-wise.

5. Mercs will be back, but not in 3.27. They will be missed.

6. New Ascendancy options, but no extra points. Can't just add pure power for free like in 3.23 with Wildwood classes. Only 3 of the 10 new sub-classes have been revealed so far. One could be useful here: get an extra ring but can't use flasks. This build doesn't rely on flasks, although they are nice. Adding another Helical ring could be worth it. Or maybe there is something even better in the other 7 sub-classes.

However, there is a bigger price to be paid: drop one of the other Ascendancies. Which one? Probably One Step Ahead, and become susceptible to slows like mere mortals.

7. Extra mods on Grafts. That's pure extra power at no cost, just like we could carry Sanctum relics back in 3.20.

8. Foulborn Whispering Ice? There are 2 mods that can be replaced:
a) cast speed: it was irrelevant anyway;
b) +1 level of support gems: there is no difference between lv 21 and 22 for most of them.
I hope there are nice replacement mods available.

Overall, this looks like another league where we get some extra power, temporarily. But probably not quite as much as in 3.26 with the mercs. But it should be very enjoyable anyway, if only because of the new trade system. If you've played PoE 2 recently you already know how much better the whole trade experience will become.

The other huge implication is that the alternative beastcrafting method is just gone. Beastlocking only works on Magic-rarity items.
I'm confused; which Simplex-crafting method *does* still work? I'm not seeing any good options here, beyond Fundamental Fossil spam...!

I think none of the ones we’d been using have survived. The metacrafting method is dead. I believe Kelvynn’s reference to just being super careful about misclicks when checking results is in reference to the beastlocking method. But I’m assuming he forgot that beastlocking doesn’t work on Rare-rarity items. So beastcrafting it is dead, too.
