[3.18] Gryph's Tank Simulator - A Detonate Dead Ignite Elementalist

"

Just found this, fractured t1 DOT mutli, think it's worth crafting on?? If so how would you guys go about it, sry in advance I normally just buy the op stuff straight out.

On page 30 of this thread, OP details how to craft the (as far as anyone's mathed out) perfect wand for this build. Basically your wand lets you skip having to Alt + Regal + Annul to get a rare with just DOT Multi. You miss out on having a "Ignites deal damage 20% faster" implicit, so you'll do the same damage but have a bit less DPS.

Because you don't have to worry about filling out suffixes / blocking with Suffixes Cannot Be Changed to save your item, you will also save a lot when doing Aisling crafts on a rare version that just has the fractured suffix + a garbage prefix, since the prefix will always be chosen. That means when you fail, instead of having to drop 4ex for Suffixes Cannot Be Changed twice, you'd just redo the Scour + Regal for DOT Multi + Garbage Prefix. The Unveil from Aisling ignores Cannot Roll Attack Modifiers, it's just something you'll need for the eventual +Phys slam. So your steps would be:

1) Scour
2) Regal to have DOT Multi + any prefix
3) Aisling the prefix to get Fire Damage + Ignite Chance
4) Craft multi-mod, Cannot Roll Attacks
5) +Phys slam for +1 gem level
6) Remove crafted mods at bench
7) Multi-mod, Fire as Extra Chaos, Fire DOT Multi

E: For my build, losing the faster Ignite implicit is a 15% DPS loss in POB. But again, it's definitely worth mentioning that you're saving 4ex on every failed Aisling, which can be an enormous currency sink. Your actual damage per Ignite will be the same, too, just not as high DPS. Unless you want to min-max the absolute most, this will be just fine.

E2:

Done! 5ex base, <1ex alts, 1ex for 2 Imprints, 12ex for Aisling fails, 10ex for the Aug Phys, then one last 2ex for the final multimod. Writing it all out makes my currency tab hurt.

I write to say: thankyou for answering that guy's question in detail.

I use those gloves now. They have Temporal Chains. It makes brand+flammability combo useless.

What will be good 3 link to use with those gloves? I was thinking about CWDT+Vortex+Bonechill or Frost Bomb, or both without bonechill. I have a Sadist on my Cluster Jewel, so I can benefit from chills.
Hey all, how would this build feel on a budget of 30ex? I was lured here by the promise of multiscreen clears (explosions and/or prolifs), good single target and great durability, but I wanted to check in and see if that's all actually feasible. Hoping to be able to have enough ST for stuff like Uber Elder and Sirus, but wasn't sure if it was achievable for this build

You might be cutting some corners on 30ex budget, but that's plenty to get you started.

Your heavy expenses will come in the form of Phantasmal Unearth (7-8ex), the collective uniques (Aegis, Ashes ammy, etc...), capping chaos res, and good +gem levels gloves. Enhance+Empower can be level 3 for start. An explosion chest piece can be very expensive or not depending on what you want to invest into it.

But yes, you should be fine to get this up and running on 30ex. Just prioritize your purchases/item acquisition properly.

30ex is plenty. You can use a Doryani's Catalyst for bosses as a decent 0 investment weapon. Similarly, I used an Obliteration for mapping up until I finished crafting (see above) and was comfortably doing T16 juiced maps including >60% Delirium. If you have your defenses set up correctly, Sirus is laughably easy. I've been too lazy to get Corrupted Blood immunity, so I bring a life flask to remove it and I've done him 3 times now deathless without a sweat.

e: Also, did Uber Elder with a Doryani's. My only death was due to an unfortunate timing of Elder's circle of death + Shaper beam. It's always been more of a mechanical challenge than a gear check imo.

hello, have troubles when caculating the life of the unearth corpese. Does POB have a good way to do that?

I just do arcanist brand + flame surge. I'll use the spare link for either empower on molten shell, or enhance on shield charge I think.

I did some math with unearth corpse life. I looked at the life increases from 80 until 90 on a level by level basis and noticed that in the last levels the increase is always reduced by around 1.2%.

Based on this assumption the corpse life on lvl 95 could be around 133.4k

Here is my calc sheet:

Sorry, I'm German so my decimal points are , rather than . :D

And from that, multiply by whatever corpse life bonus you have, and enter it in configuration/general/enemy corpse life.

You should be able to buy all the core unique with these except the +5 gloves
+3 is good enough for damage.

For body armour, use Incandescent Heart if you can manage the chaos res. Otherwise random 6L is good enough. Buy an uncorrupted one and use some new elder orb, the mods are nice until you switch for explode base or Incandescent Heart.

Obliteration will be for mapping, it is very enough for generic mapping. I use this for T16 blight map and all the guardians without issues. Change to a proper weapon if you are fighting big boss.

Boots I buy a "Ignites you inflict deal Damage 7% faster" Implicit base and harvest craft, it will last for long until you have the budget to go for hunter ignites with nice mod.

Empower 4 and Enhance 4 will be your first upgrade later. Collecting the Cards (The Dragon's Heart and The Artist) are 0.5~1ex cheaper than the actual gem. If you want to save some bucks you can go with this route.

Giving out all my luck to my teammates D:
Hi all, league started with this build, and enjoying it greatly so far. Hit a lucky Doctor from a Stacked Deck, and used that to fund the unearth, cheapo level 3 empower and enhance, aegis, a cheap 6L, etc.

With that said, I know the damage and tankiness still has a long way to go and way more scaling. I have about ~4ex remaining, what should be my priority at this point? Getting into mid yellow maps (second round of maven witnesses).
