Feeling fairly strong, but struggling to figure out what some of the most impactful upgrades I can make are.

Would love any advice on some good next steps, especially w/ the boots since I just picked up the pierce helm:

New boots seems the best upgrade you can do.
You can get normal boots with eldritch implicits action speed/ elusive effect.
Or you can craft Hunter/Redeemer boots like mine to get tailwind and onslaught on kill.

As other modifiers I would recommend chaos res since you don't have some on your stuff, it is very usefull if you want to do simulacrum.

If you want to be even more tanky you can try to add Determination in your setup.
You will need Aul's uprising amulet or a synthesis shield like mine with 20% mana reservation efficiency + 10% elsewhere.
Edit : Actually only the Aul's amulet will work since I forgot I also have the helmet enchant which reduces mana cost of Grace.

Hey, I haven't played for a long time until this league. I decided to try this build out and over time I kind of deviated from this exact build, but not sure where else to ask this question, as this is where I started.

I am really enjoying the build and can easily clear T16's, struggle with some boss fights though. Also if I look at POB for other LS characters they have over 2million dps. My POB is like 500k DPS, please can you guys take a look and let me know what I'm doing wrong. I also cant tell which item is the worst and next in line for an upgrade?

Thanks! Been trying some action speed/elusive boots that've been feeling a little better so far. May look into the onslaught/tailwind setup a little more to compare.

Better tankiness does sound better, but the amulet is currently holding all my str/int requirements together right now. Will look into playing around with some things to try and fit that into the build.

Your new boots are almost perfect.
If you want to finish them, you can craft "suffixes cannot be changed" and do a T4 Aisling.
You have 2/3 chances to not lose the life roll and get a 30% move speed + in best case onslaught on kill.
But even if you lose the life roll you can still craft it, you 'll lose only 20life.

For the Int, you can use a low level Flamedash, you don't need to have it lvl20, it will save you 30 INT, it's huge.

You'll probably want to improve your gloves. You need to cap spell suppression to really beef up your defenses against those big damage spells. Boots could use an enchant for more damage. Life is pretty low, can do the harvest enchant on body and then 30% quality either way for a little more armour or life. Ring has bad corrupt and can have higher rolls. Abyss jewel in belt can use the chance to blind on hit to increase hit chance. The belt itself is pretty weak and something you could go for is some combo (or all of) two t1 attributes, chaos res, high life, elemental damage with attacks, life % if hunter belt.

You don't need Diamond Flask if using Secrets of Suffering as you should be crit capped with some brittle applied. Can use quicksilver, sulphur (or Bottled Faith), amethyst if you want chaos res. Panopticon is not that great of an annoint since you're only using one type of totem and is dependent on the totem being up. Sorting by DPS and assuming you get a way to blind enemies, Mark the Prey and Claws of the Falcon are both better.

You can start looking into Awakened support gems. Awakened Added Lightning isn't that expensive and will give you more damage than multistrike.

This is your POB with config setup and not making any changes and some reasonable assumptions:
https://pastebin.com/mfweWSsm

In no particular order:
Claw is pretty weak, chest power charge on crit is redundant with Ass Mark. Otherwise it has base crit and mediocre life. No life on amulet. I think BIS if you don't go Omni build is Aul's for free Anger/Determination. Doing that lets you fit in Grace.

If you got gloves with basically the same mods and innate life then you could craft an additional pierce there. Helmet has low resists and if you had an open prefix you could also craft one more pierce there. Then you could replace the boots with something that gave you more defensive stats. You have no chaos res anywhere and are not capped on spell suppression.

You should take +50 on a life mastery on tree. If you got Aul's amulet and fit in Grace, Armour/Evasion mastery becomes stronger. Iron Reflexes could also be a good option. Adamant wheel seems pretty mediocre. You can put points along Quickstep and Intuition temporarily while you improve gear.
Folks, this build is SO MUCH fun. My third character this league, only started five days ago when my EA totem build RIP'd twice trying for level 98. I could have played it in Hard Core, I didn't die until deep into maps.

I'm sure there are tons of upgrades I could make, and I seriously doubt my tree is optimized, but the core build is good enough it can take some divergence. I ran for a day with Trinity not working properly, because an Awakened Cold damage overpowered both my lightning and fire damage, and I didn't even notice!

Thank you so much for publishing this, and many thanks to the rest of the crew offering answers and comments - just reading through the last 10 pages or so literally answered everything I needed to know.

If there are any simple upgrades - or even complicated ones - or anything obvious I've missed, LMK. I don't exactly have to worry much about survival any more, but I don't want to go so far into glass cannon territory that I'll burn every portal on a map.

Gear:

Heh... I haven't even hit these with Catalysts. Should probably do that.

And an intuitive leap jewel, which is too much of a pain in the rump to pull out of the tree to link.
Current league IGN: Teldra_Anc_LAD
Feel free to message me in game if I'm on.
Just got super lucky and managed to craft this in 2-3 Essences (bought the base for 15c):

Here's a POB setup so you don't have to pull out jewels to link them:
https://pastebin.com/kTXahefd

Looks pretty solid all around. Just some things I noticed.

No quality on Woke Added Lightning. Gloves are probably the biggest one to improve. Either get Hunter/Warlord with +1 Frenzy and +1 Strike with Life, and other defensive mods, or pack in defensive mods, attack speed, pierce craft with Exarch/Eater with +1/2 strike and +1 pierce implicits. Otherwise gear looks solid, will probably be pricier crafting or buying pieces with higher tier stats to condense resistances and not have to rely on tree. Also could fit in some more chaos res and cap spell suppression.

Cinderswallow is pretty weak since we have so much life sustain from claw implicit/leech already and you don't ignite so the extra damage isn't there. Atziri's is also only a modest damage boost, and you're already crit capped with Brittle so Diamond is also not ideal in general situations. You can go more defensive with flasks, get a life, jade, silver, amethyst, or quicksilver flask with poison/bleed immunity, curse effect reduction, evasion %, movement speed. Don't forget to quality everything and then also instilling orb everything for quality of life and not having to piano. Good rolls on Bottled Faith might be worth enkindling enchant for increased effect.

That's a nice base! You could even keep rolling for 3 good prefixes, craft suffixes prefixes cannot change and then Aisling add veiled mod. It should just remove the metacraft and you can hope to unveil double damage or hybrid attributes/attack speed and then craft the other. Even more expensive route is roll 3 good prefixes, do prefixes cannot be changed, and then reforge speed and repeat protecting prefixes and reforge speed until t1 attack speed. Then block prefixes again and Aisling to hopefully remove metacraft and unveil a good mod.

Swapped in the Aul's and a ring to cover the resists, and yeah it's been really smooth with the Determination swapped in.

Thanks again! Will take a crack at the boots whenever I can get setup with Aisling.
So i improved my gloves to cap my spell supp just as you said
I can't yet touch my boots as i need spell supp on them as well :(
Armor ench life - it won't be a problem losing armor/def? i do not have this craft yet anyway
Ring - i will prolly have to switch it sooner or later
Abyss jewel with blind on hit - i can change if that's a must ofc but in general my accuracy is good
I changed the belt for life+chaos res+ele dmg+str+flask charges (it's great one)
I dropped my diamond flask and put sulphur instead
I'll keep my panopticon, i drop my totem all the time so it's ok
I was thinking about awakened but they are so expensive :\ but i will have to start picking them up sooner or later.. and also div gems etc
