Is the target endgame source of Fire Exposure in this build just the Master of Fire cluster node and Cast When Damage Taken: Wave of Conviction?

Yeah that’s correct. Master of Fire applies a weaker exposure but has 100% uptime vs nearby enemies & there are times we prefer to remove WoC gem on physical reflect maps. Mastermind of Discord ascendancy further amplifies these sources.

Thank you for your reply! Makes sense.

And yeah, I've noticed I do get a bit of health hits on phys reflects but with regens and leech it's nothing dangerous. Although in my case it was mostly because of +phys damage to spells from Battlemage when I was incinerating a lot of Blight mobs at the same time. Not an issue with our tankiness!
Instituted some major/minor changes to the following sections:

VIDEO SHOWCASE : Added Simulacrum Wave 30 w/ Kosis & Omniphobia

PATH(S) OF BUILDING : Added Level 100-PLUS POB

TESTIMONIALS : New Section

Wave 30 was done @ Level 100 w/ Malediction Forbidden Flame/Flesh (about 30ex for 5-way legion carries from Level 97-100 & 35ex for the jewels) -- so a considerable investment but it can be done.

Stay Safe & GLHF.

VIDEO SHOWCASE : Added The Feared @ 49% Quantity

MY ENDGAME SETUP : Added Level 100-PLUS Gear

The Feared was the last 'white whale' of the season for this build. It was done w/ the same Level 100-PLUS setup as 30 Wave Simulacrum. It isn't an easy fight by any stretch, but obviously doable if your setup is correct and you're competent with the playstyle.

This is the furthest I've ever pushed the build and the whole project has been a lot of work. I've been really encouraged to see others taking interest in the guide these past few seasons and I continue to appreciate the support. Thanks again.

Thanks for keeping the updates coming! I've found the build a really fun self-caster undertaking in this league and I will definitely try it out again next leagues.

Of course. I'm glad the build continues to serve you well. I can see from your profile you've moved into the 97-PLUS version, but running Aspect of Spider w/ Vitality instead of Arctic Armor, which is obviously fine and I'm sure is a nice toughness boost. I also suggest you experiment a little bit with dropping AoS & Vitality for Determination. You can offset the loss of about 1M DPS w/ a 32% flammability on hit unset ring (w/ some resists and life, ideally ignite damage as well -- unset not completely necessary unless you're following my setup exactly) & annointing our chest w/ Whispers of Doom (having enfeeble in our CWDT setup).

The big boost to armor and to our effective life w/ Molten Shell is pretty noticeable w/ Determination, and though I advise L100 because you can access Malediction jewels, it is a doable transition at 97/96 for most content (though I can't guarantee 30 wave simulacrum or feared without those extra levels). With that said 97-PLUS is likely more than adequate for what content you're already doing.

Stay Safe. GLHF

New player here. Started this league and tried a few different builds until I came across this one. Had an absolute blast so far, really enjoying it. It's the first character I feel like I can do maps with comfortably.

Thank you for your very detailed step-by-step guides for the various stages of the build--as well as the item by item progression, that turned out to be absolutely fantastic to have as a new player still learning the flow of things. I probably don't understand half the interactions in place but I'm just zooming around setting things on fire and that's good enough for now.

I think I'll start chipping away at the Atlas now while slowly leveling. I'm on a low budget but it would be nice to hit 95+ and kill some bosses along the way--should be enough of a challenge this league. Hopefully 3.18 will treat this build kindly, wouldn't mind playing it again next league and going even further down the rabbit hole.

In short, great build and guide. Thanks!

Hello and thanks for that constructive feedback. Your build looks very clean right now @ 88 (especially for a first-timer) and am glad it's running smoothly. It was smart of you to put the time into researching a build guide that worked for you -- the game is complicated enough as it is.

Incinerate is a really a good league starter and a pretty safe way to learn the game in SC trade league (to a lesser extent SSF), and yes I recommend picking it up again next season to really dig into the mechanics and push it towards its final form (or just to give yourself an easy league start before you transition to another build), as it can presently do all content once you invest enough. I don't foresee any nerfs (the build is both 'off meta' and pretty uncomplicated compared to most other dedicated guides), but GGG has a habit of making random bad decisions when it comes to skill balance, so we will see :)

Best of luck & take care

Hey WarPig, first I want to say that this build has been incredibly fun to play.

This is the first time I have made a lot of exalts and I even beat the maven for the first time!

I'm only level 94 right now (finding a really hard time getting past this level), and I'm using the level 97 cluster jewel build.

Here is a link to my build https://pastebin.com/Tm0a313m

I'm currently having 2 main issues:

1. survivability - I can usually get about half way to 95 before I die a bunch. Usually I die on from legion encounters typically when im running maps that are qual 95+ and corrupted. ill always spend the chaos to make sure i dont have to deal with map mods that lower my defense too much.

2. end game gear - Ive been trying to increase my survivability by buying gear that closely matches what you have in your build. Even though my effective HP is about the same, I'm short of max hit and a little bit on block ( i figure every little bit helps!). I'm also short pretty short on damage too currently sitting at around 6m total dps. My main issue isn't currency to buy the gear i need. the issue is that the gear that im looking for is not being sold by anyone :(

How did you get your late game gear? Did you have to craft it all? I feel like ive been stuck here for a few weeks now and even though I'm making a bunch of currency, i have no clue how to spend it to help me get stronger.

Thanks for any help, and great job on the guide!

Hi JD. Thanks for dropping in. I'm happy to hear about your progress and congrats on your first productive season. Let me provide a few tips that may help:

I) The affix 'added burning damage to ignited enemies' is very valuable on your rings. So is increased cast speed. You also need to get +1 Fire Skills or +1 All Skills on your amulet (along w/ the cast speed). If you manage to acquire these they will give you a significant DPS increase (over 1-2 Million cumulatively).

For the rings, to get the added damage, you do have to do a little bit of crafting. You need to track down good rings w/ two open prefixes (you ideally want suffixes 2x resists + cast speed, and your 1 prefix is max life). Then get a Warlord's Exalted Orb. Before slamming the ring with it, put an 'armor' benchcraft prefix on it to block the Warlord's %armor prefix (remember we want ignite damage or %damage to roll). I've had a good success rate with this method, and though it's a little bit of a gamble/expense (i.e. you may still roll unwanted melee damage or AoE & 'brick' the ring), if you have currency to burn it shouldn't be an issue.

II) I highly suggest joining leveling parties (aka ROTA). Ultimately the build isn't 'immortal' til you hit your late 90s and start getting into the expensive 'PLUS' versions of the POB(s). Literally join something like 4-5 Five-Way Legions and that'll get you to 97 just about. Yes there's a cost involved (usually 2.5-3ex per rota), but I'm not kidding when I say what an insane value it is for the amount of time & frustration saved. If you're willing to reset for the main carry, you can often find these runs for as little as 1-1.5ex (very cheap).

Hope that helps & GL w/ rest of the season.
