(3.16) NERFED DO NOT PLAY THIS Raider Archmage BF/BB [CHEAP, Tanky, HCSSF viable, (100m+ dps)
" So in my hypothetical I wouldn't be running wrath at all. I'd drop supreme ego, essence worm, the wrath gem socketed in essence worm, and enduring cry + urgent orders support. I'd get a level 1 clarity (buffed by watcher's eye) and a 20/20 divergent righteous fire in return. Mana pool would get a big boost from running a second cerulean ring in place of the statless essence worm, and the combo of larger mana pool plus spell damage buff from divergent RF would hopefully cover the loss of wrath (although I'd also be losing the damage buff from clear mind.) I guess I could math this out in POB but I'm curious if anyone else has made this switch. Also, don't give me too much credit, I only killed Sirus A0. I'll be ramping up the awakening level as I get more comfortable with the fight mechanics. |

how do you guys play this build? its definitely not a two button build
feels extremely clunky. its a bfbb already clunky but defenses make it even more so. Grace enduring cry sigil of power fortify feels tiring all the things the build requires to work is almost as bad as slam builds. Intensify + AC + Sigil of Power for damage feels really bad. gear and level will make it all better but yall got any little tips tricks (and secrets o.O)? Also this build made me remember why i hated archmage builds. Im not here to talk smack about the build i just want to know you peaople's thoughts on how to make this build easier on my fingers |

"So, firstly, I put Arcane Cloak on my move skill. It's instant, so whenever it's off cooldown it auto casts it. After that - in maps, I almost never use anything except BF/BB. I can run through a map and clear everything using just those two buttons. If I'm running the ultimatums - and I usually am, these days - I add in the other three skills every few casts. So it goes something like: Sigil BF/BB BF/BB BF/BB Fortify BF/BB BF/BB BF/BB Enduring Cry BF/BB BF/BB BF/BB and then back to the top. Furthermore... this isn't a build where you spam your attack skill. I cast BF/BB about every 1-2 seconds, so your keypresses per second are actually much lower than you think. As for the BF/BB clunkiness - that gets to a very manageable state after you stack up some cast speed. Current league IGN: Teldra_Anc_LAD

" Some folks have dropped wrath entirely like this and it still works. Look into a flat mana ring instead of the Cerulean - I haven't run the numbers recently, but we have so much %increased mana I'll be shocked if it's not more effective. Current league IGN: Teldra_Anc_LAD

"If I were going to try to fit the HH, I'd likely move to the Clarity version. That way you can have 2 rings with resists instead of one and an Essence worm, that will make the resistance loss on your belt a lot easier to deal with. Current league IGN: Teldra_Anc_LAD

"I don't follow your thought here... how would you go about removing the reduced lightning resist? It only helps your chaos resist if you're below zero. If you're above, it's a penalty. Replacing my current Crown of the Inward eye in POB doesn't look great - it's a pretty big hit in the resistances, boosts my life and mana by ~230 each, my DPS drops from 14.1 million to 11.4 million. "For comparison, my in game buffed tooltip is ~370k for bladeblast, and actual DPS output is at least 10 million. As for suggestions... - Drop the life flask. I'm willing to bet that Agnostic on the tree heals you faster than that flask. - Fix the rest of your flasks. Wise Oak? Usually elemental damage isn't a problem, which is why we use a taste of hate for extra physical mitigation, and if you're using it for the damage boost, you're likely better off with an Atziri's Promise. Divine mana flask should be Eternal for the extra up time. - Throw a divine or two at your Cloak of Defiance. Shouldn't take much to get better than average rolls instead of the lower than average you have now. - Conductivity on hit ring would be pretty nice, and probably not terribly expensive. - I'd replace the harvest quality craft on your second sceptre for sure, accuracy doesn't help us. Personally I like the option, "Grants 1% increased elemental damage per 2% quality". I'd probably put that on both. I did on mine, anyway! :) - I'd drop the Empower and Enlighten for Vaal Righteous Fire and Enduring Cry. Use the VRF for a DPS boost on tough bosses, run the regular RF all the time, unless the map has reduced recovery. Enduring cry for the endurance charges. @ Shanwen222
like said some posts before i love this built. Yesterday i killed Sirus A7 on a 5-link. 10 min ago i saw i linked arcane surge with sigil instead of cloak. so i don't really have maxed this out ;D i'am also playing without grace or rf (don't really know why) yes it can be stressfull in hard combats but it's less clunky than other builts in this budget range. today i will try to get the 6-link and some enchantments in lab. also change my stupid gems ;D from pob it takes me from 3,6kk dps to nearly 8 and is a huge upgrade to survivability. sorry for bad london it's not my native |

Almost level 97 and I don't think I'll be trying to gain any more levels past that (I find it more fun to just play fast instead of safely in maps/bosses).
I wanted to post the current (final?) state of my own build, and ask if anyone has suggestions for improvements. Basic stats: 3,321 life, 10,654 mana, 46% evasion, 5% (53% with flask) phys reduction, 20%/64% (34%/71%) block, 55%/45% (68%/58%) dodge. 7.2M dps with 10 BB hits. Here's my build: Some reasoning: Oscillating Sceptre base instead of Void Sceptre sacrifices the 40% elemental damage implicit to free up 2 skill points to spend in my cluster jewel. I like shield because it makes me a lot bulkier than dual weapon. The huge spell block on this replica, as well as evasion. I still need to grind for 14 more catalysts for my ring.
