(3.16) NERFED DO NOT PLAY THIS Raider Archmage BF/BB [CHEAP, Tanky, HCSSF viable, (100m+ dps)

Anyone else experiencing a weird situation where you die on phys reflect maps? I thought that we only need to avoid an ele reflect map... I don't understand where does the phys damage come from.

Both Bladefall and Bladeblast have base damage that is PHY.

The vast majority of the damage is lightning but if you look at the POB calc window, you will see there is a small amount of physical damage as well.

The guide mentions that phys reflect is doable but that you have to be careful. I am unsure what that means for play style.

Hello, thz for all the works that you've put into this guide.
There's a bit of stuff that i dont get, first is ''Net Mana Regen -629'' in wrath tree. Does this mean that with RF and agostic ticking you wont be able to sustain the degen on mana?
Next is Clarity tree, its has positive net mana regen but when i check the pob, the clarity is not active nor using essence worm.

Swap in a level 1 bladefall, switch your minor pantheon to Yugul, that might take care of it. If you're still having trouble, swap out your essence worm / wrath for a sybil's lament ring.

Am I correct that Mind Drinker does not provide mana leech to the build because Bladefall and Bladeblast are both spells?

Clarity is active in both POB's (with and with out clusters). Essence Worm is only used in the Wrath version.

It is only a level 1 so it is only reserving a tiny % of the mana pool. It is so tiny that POB still considers it 100% unreserved but if you look very closely at the mana numbers you will see a tiny amount reserved.

Clarity is used not for mana regen but for the Watchers Eye synergy.

With RF up, your life degen is 428, but Agnostic can heal 2300/s. End result is, even with both of these running, you can sustain fine. The only challenge is when you take a big DPS hit, you'll only be healing at 1900/s with RF instead of 2300 without.

On the clarity tree, it is enabled, however, it's only really used to trigger the clarity mod on the watcher's eye jewel. Keep it at level 1.

Correct. It's the 2% on kill that we need.

Thank you for the numbers, this was helpful.

But I thought he was asking about sustaining mana, not sustaining life (maybe I misunderstood either his question or your explanation).

I'm probably not explaining very well.

What happens is, we burn some life, Agnostic burns *some* mana to replenish that - but we aren't losing life faster than Agnostic can replenish it, so Agnostic is only active in very short burts, which is why we can maintain the mana burn rate. The game works in tics, of which there are many per second, but for the sake of this, lets look at it in terms of 1 second.

So with RF running and Agnostic healing us, in one second we:
- burn 428 life.
- burn 428 mana to replenish that life.
However, for most of that second, we're at full life, so no Agnostic running, so... ~3600 mana regen left over.

If we express that in terms of single points... for every point of burn damage we take, the game burns a point of mana to heal it, then regens another 8-9 points of mana, then we loop to burning a point of damage.

When I go back and read over this, seems clear as mud to me, and I already understand it. Hope it helps some, anyway.
