I never seem to have enough mana for the CWDT stuff to cast regularly and as a result feels like wasted slots.

Similarly with the weapon slot. I NEVER use the brand and I've always disliked shield charge as a movement skill. However with withering step, flame dash etc feels clunky with the cooldowns. Was there a better option? Should I have used a mark instead of the brand? I dont boss kill alot so maybe thats why the brand felt useless - or is it there for spreading curses - which I then didn't need due to my gloves? So much confusion for me over this one.

Ultimately it feels strong and your gudies and POBs were very good, so thanks for that. Been a good season on a character I'd never played before.

Yes, with mageblood it's really tricky to optimize mana-reg and mana-recoupings for cwdt or cws.


Mana-reg or -recoup on blue corrupted jewels is doubled by the Adorned, but such jewels are rare to get by crafting or in trade.

I optimized the guidings about mana-reg, and the tipps moved out from "manamanager" and "manamaster" into the new spoiler "mana-reg".

Above 90 unreserved mana it's more effective to balance into mana-reg and -recoupings.

You should reach 60 to 90 mana-reg /sec with mana-reg on jewels, mystic bulwark, 1-2x self-discipline, or alternative arcane surge and other ring-implicits for the needed continuous cwc and maximal es on hit.

Example: cyclone (lvl1) 18 mana/sec- (awakened) cast while channelling (lvl 5) - tornado of elemental turbulence (lvl 1) 1.5/sec x 18 = 27 mana, / lasts 4 secs = 16 mana /sec - ball lightnings of orbiting 1.5/sec x 13 = 19 mana/sec

totally: 18 + 16 +19 = minimum 53 mana/sec needed

First and best we scale flat continuous mana-reg:

Mana-Base-Reg

■ base-reg is 1.8% of Mana per second regenerated (18-22 mana/sec)
■ get 1-4x t1/t2-prefixes mana-reg on abyss jewels (2.5/3.5 up to 14 mana/sec)
■ buff and double the abyss-jewels base-mana-reg in darkness enthroned or by the adorned (+ 5-21 mana/sec)

Increased Mana-Reg

■ then increase all with mystic bulwark (75%)
■ by 1-2x the cluster "self-control" eg on megalomaniacs clusters (25-50%)
■ "increased mana-reg", "mana-reg while moving" as 1-5 jewel- and clustertransfer-suffixes (14-100%)

(20+10+7=) 37 mana + 125% = 83 mana/sec


Mana-Recoupings

Then we use beyond mana-recoupings on jewels to procc all skills.

■ '2% damage recouped as mana' on one abyss jewel or 10% in a mana-mastery for the cwdt/cws triggered skills (example: 2000 damage taken = 2% = 40 mana recouped, with adorned / darkness enthroned 100% increased: 80 mana recouped over 4 secs)
■ When needed lower frostshield to lvl 1-15

Ascendancies

■ as Jugg "Battle Rouse"
■ as Champ "Mana Flows"

For mageblood

■ the aura 'clarity' (and further possible watcher's eye clarity-mods, base 3-40 mana/sec)

Variations

■ use flat mana-reg, or 'arcane surge', as ring-implicit (3.5/30%)
■ use more cluster-notables like Clarity of purpose, Self-discipline, Sage or Arcane Adept on megalomaniacs (25-100%)
■ in high density 5 'mana gained when you block' as jewel/cluster implicit
■ with cyclone get 2 'mana on attack' with 1 passive of "clever thief" or on a jewel
■ as Necro and Scion 1 passive Es+Mana-Reg in the starting location
■ use 'siphoning trap' (base 19 mana/sec)
■ alternative use an enduring mana-flask
■ a second mana-mastery for 5 base mana-reg / 10% recoup
■ on int-tattoos (8%)
■ a shaper-ring 'mana on spellhit'
■ arcane surge / mana leech-support
■ with poacher's mark
■ When only a few manapoints are missing, go with fewer channelled skills and selfcast more skills like spell echo - ball lightnings of orbiting and cwc frostshield.



With mageblood and the adorned most easy is probably to add the aura "clarity", to use "siphoning trap" or a magic jewel with stats mana-reg, mana-recoup and mana while moving and double it with the adorned, or get fitting megalomaniacs.


Alternative you can use frostshield instead tornados of turbulence in cast while channelling. Or slower projectiles instead tornadoes. Then you need with the long duration less mana by default too. With 100% poisonchances by poison on hit-tattoos you should produce enough HoA-virulences only with ball lightnings of orbiting.

About shield-charge: yes, it's best in flat terrain like dunes or jungle valley and fastest while levelling, but in some other maps it's clunky and flamedash is better. Choose your prefered movement-skill, or use both when you want more speed and qol.
