[3.13] Divine Ire Igniter Elementalist | 30 Million Damage Pure Lightning Ignites
Yeah checking in at around act 6, level 51 and melting things. Gear is garbage besides an early Tab. Absolutely melting things though I am a bit squishy. Can't wait for the 2 golem ascendancies.
A few thoughts from a very bad player of the game; Charged Dash works exactly the same as DI just an aoe version really, I've been using that to get around with ignite prolif, faster casting and infused channeling, which doesn't do a ton of damage but enough to clear a bit and move which speeds things up. It's really a shame about EE as a Ngamahu's Sign is completely insane on elementalist now with our rate of igniting.....when I'm done with this build I'm going hame with ignite spellcast loops as it's now 100% easier. Cyclone VD might be back honestly. Is there any way we could convert away the fire damage to allow EE and Sign? or another way to apply EE? |

Hi its my first time playing witch / any spell really so please excuse my dumb questions .
1) what is the purpose of Light of Divinity? isnt spell dmg and crit useless for ignite? what am i missing ? 2) how do we chill for sadist? 3)how does this build scale defensives ? is it just minion act as bait and have lots of regen etc? lastly just an observation but we can skip 2 points if we dont path from deep wisdom but go from the left of cruel preparation , or is the aoe small nodes worth it ? will keep posting questions until i can understand whats going on but i like the build so far very much :D thanks for sharing
Apologies if this has been answered, I can't get the pob link to work..
What option are people taking for bandits? |
|
" 1) pretty sure it was kind of a reflex the OP had to take it in PoB. Pretty much every caster build takes it when pathing through there. But you are right, it does nothing for the build, except make EO a tiny bit more reliant. So not worth a point. 2) ideally with some cold damage to spells, for endgame, the new helmet base comes to mind. But it is not a priority, there are so many other great nodes to get on clusters, Sadist is really not a standout. So don't focus on it too much. 3) Pretty much. There are other things you could probably do, like use wand/sceptre and shield, or sacrifice a lot of damage and remove Shaper of Storms to get the aegis. But only the former is maybe worth it, but still questionable. The latter I would never do. Also don't forget to use Vitality, with Enlighten 3 it should be able to fit at a pretty high level. You are right, that pathing is more effective. Good catch. The area nodes are not worth it at all. " 2 passives. Everything else does almost nothing for us really.
Guys, im thinking on going incandescent hearth with divine flesh, where would be the best place to put the gem?
|
|
" Yeah I'm a complete idiot and this build is kicking ass for me. Went Arc until first labs, switched over and just spanking everything in sight now. Dude must be really doing something wrong
So, for defensive ascendacies, you guys are going for elemancer or Bastion of elements? I don't know what to choose. Any advice and feedback?

Yeah, lack of defensive/utility as a league starter comes down to choices you're making, not a flaw in the build.
It's a league starter, so you have to get a little creative at the start. You don't have optimal gear, and need to switch things up! Use flesh and stone while you feel fragile, and meander towards the golem nodes and ascendencies. You shouldn't be prioritizing ignite nodes until you get to 50+ probably, as most of your early game damage is just from DI. The build was squishy until 35 or so, but of course it was. I was running 6% spell damage wands and a 3L armor with basically no stats. Once you have even slightly okay randoms (look at my gear, it's horrible) and golems + flesh and stone it works great. |
