Going for this build again this season, levelling up with Spellslinger is a bit hard, but doable.

Low tier maps are manageable with only ~50% crit chance and ~40/40% block and a 6-link setup.

I also recommend picking up the power charges in the tree (3 power charges). Basically every crit we don't make is the same as missing a hit due to low accuracy. In my opinion it's an enormous damage loss.

@Gryphenprey, you can try with your last pob build, pick the 3 power charges and see the damage increase by 33%.

I get about 4% more damage by taking the power charges. Definitely not worth it unless you're actively scaling them for damage as well.

You are far better off making sure you are Attack Crit Capped THEN spell crit capped. Use inc crit support to help with this. You're going to have some issues with only 50% crit chance--mind you, if that's BEFORE diamond flask, power charges, and Assassin's Mark then it's probably fine.
cant wait to see a more final build for this in 3.16, was my favorite build in a while back in ultimatum, skipped last league, mapping as cold ss right now but would love to play this again
What is the purpose of the ball lightning in the CWDT setup?

Ball lightning applies a lot of hits=more ignites=more recovery of life and es=more self damage=more procs of CWDT...

It's a good thing. Also applies combustion at a long range.
Chaos damage defense feels a bit weak compared to elemental and phys.

Is there any realistic way to go CI?
I know the build is point starved, so giving up a bit of damage and or defense for immunity.

My personal guess would be it not being as good when it comes to the hige end hybrid dual on hit watcher eye, with 20% damage take recouped as mana/flask charges on crit and all there other sweet juice, but I just hate chaos damage (Will be getting more chaos res, but kinda hard hehe)

Also, would you (@Gryphenprey) run mageblood belt with this build?

Edit:
What about brittle for the helmet Galesight (https://pathofexile.fandom.com/wiki/Galesight)

That makes sense. Thanks for getting back to me.
what do we do for 100% stun immunity now? the pob only has 22% resist
i feel like this build was better before 3.15 I'm having a hard time and ended up speccing out

Jewels can get a ton of stun avoidance as implicits. There's also the Tolerance Wheel+Mastery for 80%.

Abyssal Jewel with 20%+ and Boot Enchant for 80% if you've killed recently is also an easy and clean answer for 90% of content.

everything was better before 3.15 xD

This is not league start friendly either.

You probably want 15-20ex before rolling this comfortably.
I tried this build again this season as a league starter because I love cyclone and VD.
It's a very personal opinion, but it's too nerfed for me to enjoy.
In order to not get stunned back to back to back (even with pantheon), you need to invest a lot of points, but then you lack damage.
I'm talking about 5-6k life, max block, around 90k per VD ~1M dps, and you still will get destroyed randomly during encounters. So unless you have perfect items with 8k life+es, don't bother.

I rerolled as a elementalist with less life, less block, no max res, and could run into red maps without dying and clearing screens. Chris fix melee!
