[3.20] Gryph's Burning Witch - CoC Volatile Dead Necromancer - Burn Yourself Through the Atlas!

Been eyeing your vd builds since replica duskdawn came out. I never got around to it in heist and I skipped ritual.

Im glad I decided to wait til now to play it, as this build just rips apart ultimatums. I still have few things to work on, need to finish tailwind boots, and I need to get woke coc so I can ditch the cooldown rate and properly finish my belt as well. Final step is crafting a chest to replace inpulsa but thats going to be a money pit as I'ma stickler for min maxing, and inpulsa is holding its own very well as it stands. Most of everything else is finalized at this point, except small upgrades to other rares. Been stocking items for the build for a week, and finally started the character on Friday, already level 94.

100% chance to hit / 97% elusive.
99.97% effective chance to crit.

Im actually considering pulling assassins mark as were losing 60% crit multi from our staff by never hitting with a non-crit. Just need to pob it out to see if it works in reality like it does in my head. Maybe pulling the diamond flask is the actual answer, I dont know, but in my mind it seems like 95% crit would be a better sweet spot. Or maybe before assassins mark is applied we hit with a non crit. Maybe someone who has thought of this and done the math can chime in? I spent only a few minutes in pob to try and find my crit rate to see if I should borrow my other chars bottled faith, so I didn't fully look into every combat situation yet.

Spoiler

Im not home so I can't pull my jewels out to post them, but to note one specific thing Inspired learning in the witch jewel spot is an amazing addition by the guy who thought it up, especially considering getting one with hinder is relatively cheap due to the div cards. Seeing 30+ stolen buffs in an ulti is quite common. I actually thought of using mantra in flames because of this as it gives flat fire damage per buff on you. I just ran out of space to squeeze another jewel in.

@Gryphenprey, playing the build, have some really good gear, but DPS seems to be very lacking. I can't tell what I am missing, would I be able to share my POB with you to see what I am doing wrong?

In reference to the 60% crit multi, any utility spell can proc it too. I’ve found that the build has enough going on with utility spells to consistently proc it. Im also generally killing things before the first 4 seconds of the fight is over since you usually proc the 60 multi at the beginning of the fight, it really doesnt seem necessary to worry about.

You are probably missing cyclone crit chance or accuracy if i had to guess.
Could someone check out my character and give some advice on the best upgrades to go for. I really want to upgrade my chest then go for Overlord... Also my gems are on my priority but, I noticed people running Anger / Purifying Flame was thinking of trying it. My DPS in PoB is like 500kish seems low but I melt T16's currently so, not sure.

Yep, no problem. I just got home and checked to make sure that my thinking was correct, and looking at PoB, it looks like desecrate(~65% lucky crit) and VD corpse explosions(~80% lucky crit) are our most consistent source of non-crits. Since these happen continuously, i would say that there is likely zero down time for the 60% multi.

All of our utility spells are actually Crit capped lolol.

Yeah basically the corpse explosions from VD will be plenty as they don't benefit from spell crit. The buff is always up. :P
Hey Gryph do you stay away from reflect maps? I seem to get insta-killed on them
