Hello everyone, I was thinking of switching my necro over to this build. I took a few leagues off and am getting back up to speed. I was wanting to roll VD in the past but it seemed as though I missed the "good ole days" of poets pen. Scolds builds never seemed like my thing but, this build has my interest. I have a couple question for those running this currently.
Squish factor? How are you all doing in red tier Ultimatums? What would be suggested to get started with the build? I understand the sky is the limit, just curious as to the amount needed to get the build rolling and feeling "decent"- I can minmax and craft gear later on. Is there a point when the build goes from feeling like total garbage to great? Any advice would be appreciated. |

" Hey, the biggest pieces to get the build to go from "good, but kinda squishy" to "GRRRRREAT!!! Like Frosted Flakes" are: Energy Shield on hit while affected by Discipline Watcher's Eye Cinderswallow Glorious Vanity - Doryani Rare 6L Chest with "10% of max life as extra max ES" - preferably with attack crit and offering effect. Just also make sure you have the core items: Eye of Innocence Ngamahu's Sign ring Replica Reckless Defense Martyr of Innocence(budget) or Replica Duskdawn (less budget) Finally the last like "this will make the build feel unkillable" piece is getting a megalomaniac with Overlord for Fortify. Strive for about 8k total life+ES |

You can no longer trade for Replica Duskdawn so forget that going
Have to go budget on the staff. Cinderswallow alone might run you 7-10ex. I definitely Have work to do |

" There are 10 staves on the market (yes, they are rare but cheaper this league that previous 2 leagues) and cinders are about 2ex. Not sure what you mean. |

I got really lucky and got one of the replica duskdawns for 7ex, trying to figure out what to do for chest now, I'm torn between just getting an inpulsa, or crafting a rare armor.

" A rare armour will be stronger than an inpulsa in the end. Get yourself a 6L Hunter Base (ES or EV/ES) and use some HArvest reforge with a crit modifier to get attack and/or spell crit. Easy way to make a decent chest. Of course this also depends on budget. Inpulsa 6L is 7ex. 6L Hunter base is 2.3ex(hunter exalt)+cost of white i84+ 6L base. Honestly a random 6L rare with life for now would be better than a tabula. I'd focus on getting an ES on hit watcher's eye to help make full use of your ES pool. |

yea thats what I thought, im just so squishy right now and my hp pool is super tiny so im trying to tank up. I'm farming currency on my main character right now and funneling it all into this one
Also any tips on the timeless jewel? Ive bought and sold like 4 of them so far because they keep giving my small nodes useless stuff like lightning damage or attack speed.. | |

Hey Gryph I got a 6L Rare with 17% increased effects of offerings and 1% CSC. I know it's not great would it be ok for now till I get something better?
