Will probably do EO (sacrilege I know, seeing as how I’m the leadership’s price guy) because it’ll save some passive points and gearing slots. It’s actually incredibly hard for a necro to have more than 6K ES in an aegis setup. The current POB I’m working on has 6.4K ES, 30K+ armour without flasks, and 75/75 block. Plaguebringer and sigil make for some nice reduction right off the top. If I can get the brand setup to pump out 3-4 million dps that should be more than enough.

Fun fact. Shaper one handed maces have explode mod as a suffix. I want to work that into the build.
It would be CI. Without flask 30K armour with 600ES gained out block. With flasks up 60K armour and 1200ES gained on block. You can work on matures patience for 20% more damage and 10% reduced damage taken but going slow hurts my soul.
Doryani's Catalyst may be a nice budget scepter for a shield setup. +132% Elemental Damage, +10% Cast Speed. Inbuilt life leech via elemental damage.

Good call! That sceptre looks like it would work great for an EO setup and would obviate the need for doryani’s lesson on a large cluster assuming that I’m using skin of the lords with ghost reaver keystone.
Just to add to the minion dying issue, I am new to spectres and did not realize the difference what spectre you get makes. The VD damage increases and the spectres now never die.

I am using lithomancer and stoneskin flayer for anyone experiencing this issue.

Yes, definitely dude. I need a brain to handle the HC aspect of it. 38% Cast speed wand/sceptre + 38% Crit Mult + 90% Fire Damage oughta do it, drop all the staff stuff to get the when wielding shield stuff, drop Glancing Blows for full true block?


+1 Max Curse for Enfeeble? + Life/ES on Block Shield?

Did you ever consider minion damage medium cluster since we have spiritual aid? Would require a herald swap but cult leader and Invigorating Portents would be 55% increase in damage vs 45.

Hmm I would never give up the utility of Grand Design / Seeker Runes (or even Chip Away) for generic damage. The build doesn't lack % increased damage at all (nor am I sure if conditional Herald Damage works with Spiritual Aid, but I guess it must if they coded it). Seems too far to stretch just for no added utility!

Hi mate, as much as I want to promote my build, VD has historically been horrible for PCs. I'm not sure how much better it is on a BAMA build but VD has been known to melt computers :(

A max roll Doryani's scepter drops my DPS from 9~10m to about 6m (Corpse + Spell). Notably this is compared to a Spell Damage Cane of Kulemak, not a Fire Damage, so the results may be more drastic for that. Still, 6m with a basic item swap and staff nodes swapped to some shield nodes is legit.

Blood Rage is probably not the way to go unless I am doing something wrong with it. I couldnt keep my ES up with it, even with Leech and 18 ES on hit. That made me a lot squishier.

For shield, a rare shield with ES on hit and +Block% (so +75%) damage Crusader Shield may keep damage up. Possibly also with + Cast Speed.

How do you move the gems around to fit Sigil of Power?

I've done some calculations regarding Phantasmal Desecrate and it seems to be beneficial (at least if I understand the math correctly). It spawns a Forgotten Corpse at 20% chance which is a Flickershade with 300% hp multiplier.

spectre_chance * spectre_hp + non_spectre_chance * random_hp - normal Desecrate
(spectre_chance * spectre_hp + non_spectre_chance * random_hp) * non_forgotten_chance + forgotten_hp * forgotten_chance - Phantasmal Desecrate

0.15*800+0.75*x < (0.15*800+0.75*x)*0.8 + 300*0.2
Solving this gives x < 240. Which means the corpses will have on average more hp as long as the random zone corpses have less than 240% hp multiplier.
If you assume the random mob has 100% hp multiplier:
((0.15*800+0.75*100)*0.8 + 300*0.2)/(0.15*800+0.75*100) ~= 1.11

Conclusion: Phantasmal Desecrate can give up to (maybe, possibly) 11% more average corpse life while also making the big spectre corpses appear 20% less often.

I've also looked through some poedb monster stats and most monsters seem to have around 100%-150% hp multiplier. Desecrated Bonestalkers have 90% so it could be a nice boost for bossing
