Appreciate it. Think I have everything at this point minus the Cane. Fire damage/Spell damage + Double Damage + Crit Multi when rare is the BIS?

May I know the reason why you would value Fire Damage/Spell Damage over Crit Multi?

As far as I can see, cast speed is most valuable since it increases brand VD corpse detonation, hence, most damage.

Spell doesn't affect Corpse so that leaves Fire vs Crit Multi. Wouldn't Crit Multi scale more?
Spent some of today toying with my build. I actually lost to Sirius, although it was my first time fighting him.

I can reliably do T16 Maps. Some way too juiced Logbooks still get me.

Weirdly I feel like my damage is fine. I need to improve my survivability (4k Health, 2k ES, 75%/35% Glancing block, Fortify, Endurance Charges, Immortal Call, Frost Shield, Sigil of Power, recover 29 Life/6 Mana/16 ES on hit, Life and ES Leech)

I may try to get a Flammibility on hit ring though.

Unrelated to the above:

I also swapped to Sigil of Power and Inspiration, and it has likewise fixed my mana issues (when combined with rings and -15% Reduced cost on tree, the life nodes under Glancing Blows).

Fortify Boots can save you a gem slot, but a 6L Cyclone lets you cast your buffs at level 20/21, as opposed to CwDT. You can pull off Bone Offering, Frost Shield, and Sigil of Power this way.

You also *can not* use Fortify Boots over Spinnerets until you get a Watcher's Eye jewel, as I learned the hard way.

Low life isnt going to work for this build. It isnt that much more damage and because its a life/energy shield hy rid you lose a lot of survivability.

Herald of Ash is meh. More Spell Damage is only about 25% as effective and it isnt boosting clear enough.

I need to fit lower mana reservation somewhere. Discipline, Skitterbots, Aspect of the Spider is 95% reserved mana. Even with lowered costs I will likely need more.
Hey there, it's me again. I finally managed to level a witch to lvl 88 in order to swap to this. I read quite a lot of theory / useful stuff in other comments. Is there / will be there an updated pob? Thanks!

Very good question!

I rate the build based on how quickly it can clear content, and I would be venturing that even if bosses are thicc, we spend only 1-5 secs fighting map bosses. Even unphased bosses like Mino only last 3-8 secs tops (depending on how many links you have in your helm, etc).

Most of the map clear speed comes from how hard your balls can wipe out packs by their own. If you are pushing the limits of your build, the condition 100% mult isn't always active. For example, if you're between a magic pack and a regular pack, you're down one mod and loss off damage could stagger your snowball for way longer than the extra 1-2s the boss takes at the end. Don't forget it isn't just cast speed - your leap slams fall off a little every time you lose momentum. It could happen two or three times a map - and then you're 6 seconds behind.

Fire Damage is the most valued because it affects every single part of the skill - the explosion and the balls which are the main clear. In most builds (use the calculator) the corpse explosions deal 60%+ of the damage to a boss, so you definitely want to prio some fire scaling because it's just 'always on'.

However, your argument does make sense if your character is just a pure bosser and you have other chars for generic mapping.

Fighting Sirus, Maven, Shaper, Elder/UElder, Oshabi, Twins, Catarina, absolutely, crit mult is top dog because you are always near a rare or unique and they are beefy threats that warrant a specialised weapon for them.

For general mapping, I still do believe that the conditional on-off hurts the clear time more than a consistent 200% fire damage buff.

Heya, I would strongly align to your budget rather than your level. Recent builds have jacked up the price of even the starter build by a minmum of 7ex, which is insane brutal because the initial PoB was priced at 6ex with the same gem pre-price-hike xD

If money is no issue, here's a biggus dickus PoB that is just a few degrees away from being the ultimate form of this build. And even then I will continue to release variants (zHP insane DPS - Malachai's Artifice Witchhunter Swap)

I would say this gear is easily in excess of 80ex right now.
- 20 of that is Bottled Faith.
- 20 for the Helm, although mine has attack crit so I should actually sell it for 60ex and buy a 20ex helm.
- 8 ex - Woke Spell Cascade
- 11 ex - Watcher's ES On Hit
- 7 ex - Unnatural Instinct
- 1-3ex - Good Cane of Kulemak, see above posts for stat Prios.
- 2-3 ex - 2x fat ass rings with Curse reduction, a lot of people simply die randomly on maps because they overlook this stat. I'm struggling to die on maps. It's the difference maker - ignoring 65-75% of curses is HUGE (and frankly can you stand being Temp Chains-ed?)
- 200c - Onslaught Boots with good res. You don't need Elusive when you're hopped up on Corpse Pact Leap Slam.
- 25c - Belt. Seriously, got this for 18c I think and there are plenty more. It's the Conq belts with fancy stats that are expensive. Could be worth though if there's a % Strength Abyss Belt. However, use Heavy Belts because Blessing the implicit is a way cheaper method of balancing Strength with Int than divining. Once you have finalised your gear, go all in on a mad belt.
- 75c Amulet: Leadership's Price. I'm using a shit 75c one. Cold seems like the least deadly ailment so I took the hit there (less effect of Chill pantheon + flasking + CWDT-Ball Lightning will cover you.) A perfect 3/3/3 Amulet will run you like 60ex. Don't go there man, not worth it.

This is my current gear. You will see it in action in a showcase I am preparing along with footage done with the cheaper gear sets. Only exception: I do not film videos with Bottled Faith because 20ex is just way to much to ask of most of the playerbase just for the one slot. The helm upgrades are already ridiculous in price.

Ahh yeah sorry mate, you missed the 4ex Discipline ES on hit train, the CoC VD build really caught on as people missed cleaving through maps and shit.

Very tough there, I would drop Skitterbots first for sure. 17% shock on a boss isn't going to hurt your clear times as much as OOMing. If you want, I have tried out running War Banner instead for regular mapping, which is a WAY bigger burst on bosses than most people imagine - 100% damage and 25% cast speed is NUTS. Plus the banner amps explosion damage by 10% when you're mapping.

Finally, get a cast speed cane D:::: It is NIGHT and DAY! ><

As ususal, thanks for the response ^^ when I've looked up some kulemaks with fire damage and cast speed I've noticed there's a lot of them with qual and level to gems. Is that also good? didn't see crit multi with rare and only 1 with double damage.

Hmm, not really. Only gem I see us gaining a lot from is.. Brand Recall + Enhance + Sigil of Power somehow - the mad %quality increase would make all your spells free, and Brand Recall gain tons of Attachment Range. Arcanist Brand isn't a support or it'd be pretty fire having 15% more activation freq.

Any tips for keeping zombies/spectres alive? Having to recast at least once per map at the moment.
