If not, you can run Enduring Composure small Cluster Jewel for Endurance charges and put Immortal Call there. Possibly even Anomelous Immortal Call + Enhance + Increased Duration. It may boost survivability even more, and let you put something else on CwDT, like Sigil of Power or something.

You could swap one of your Brand Cluster Jewels with a Curse Cluster Jewel that Unnerves enemies cursed by you and gives you Culling Strike against cursed enemies. That should be more effective damage.

If you go for two groups of Clusters, nabbing a Crit Chance cluster that gives critical strikes a 5% chance for Double Damage may be worthwhile. It lets you get a Fire Damage + Crit Multi + Cast Speed Cane while letting you got off those Double Damages to apply Ailments.

Legacy of Fury boots should do some pretty spectacular things for Clear. Honestly, give how big your hits are Herald of Ash may be a good idea as well. This may be able to replace an explodey chest, or supplement it.

Alternatively, Fortify Boots can free up a 6 slot item, and Gem Slots are precious to this build.

Can the build be tanky enough to go Low Life? Probably with Petrified Blood. DoT, especially Chaos DoT may be an issue.


Damn, these are all damn solid. I had a megalomaniac that had Wish for Death and it was SO good for boss killing (since culling strike even calculates before the boss hits a health threshold now - and a crit fireball should instakill a mob.). Yeah, that could be pretty sick. Cull is a 11% damage boost anyway. I'll try it out!!



HoA crossed my mind but with how often I roll ailment avoidance maps I may personally hold off.

WAR BANNER, however.. Is the bees knees. 100% damage, 25% cast speed, and a damage amp on explodey chest damage. The first two will absolutely shred Guardians and Conquerors, not so much Arena bosses with no adds (Sirus/Maven/Oshabi).

Would fucking destroy the Expedition bosses though looool

Herald of Ash isnt impacted by Ailment Avoidance. It is burning damage, but it isnt ignite.

War Banner feels like it would be too clunky to get charges for in boss fights where you need it, imo. You would need to run Breach or take up a flask with Worms.
On paper you can remove the need for Mana Regen, etc. You just need to craft very specific rings.

Two rings each with -10 Mana Cost, life Gain on Spell Hit, Mana Gain on Spell hit means that with a 6L Helmet (skip Area) you can net some mana per cast. 7L Helmet is harder. You probably want to snag the mana cost reduction ring and I beliebe the large loop on the left of the tree lets you snag one or two life nodes that also give 3% reduced cost. Napkin math says (27×1.3×1.3×1.4×1.4×1.3
×0.78)−10−10−6×12 = -1.3 Mana in the worst circumstances (a boss who somehow dodges all corpse explosion with no adds). If we assume some of the corpses hit then we dont need the reduced cast thing. Phantasmal Sigil of Power also helps with -10% Mana Cost.

This doesnt count Nexus Gloves.

Tl;dr. It should be possible, but takes heavy investment. I would probably skip the non-life passives, since thats 3-4 points that are precious. Because you recover based on hits you will want like 400 Mana in the bank.

Dude, you are a goddamn wealth of ideas. I skipped leagues and had a new job recently so I missed out on a lot of utility like Sigil of Power. That is insane. -19% damage done by enemies on a max sigil?? On top of Sap/Fortify/Plaguebringer??? I believe it makes almost any boss a kitten!!

Napkin math on that: Plaguebringer = Deal REDUCED, Sigil of Power deal LESS, Sap deal LESS, Fortify = Less damage TAKEN (from hits).

So 0.9 * 1-(0.19 + 0.20) x 0.8 = 43.92%. Mother of god. A fully debuffed boss will deal 43.92%, by passing curse immunity and even most Ailment Avoidance map mods (because we hit so often, unless it passes the 100% threshold.)

I really don't think there's any fatal oneshot in the game for this build anymore. Sirus Die Beam hit me but I survived without Sigil or Fortify, just plain old Plaguebringer and a series of spell block.

We have the bees knees here gentlemen. Just a matter of finding a way to fit in Sigil organically (trigger in Cane? CWC and make sure we cast rarely? (We don't want to reset stages.)

Heya mate, at this moment the PoBs provided are the best guide.

The cost either has to be adjusted upwards 6 ex for the price spike in Awakened Spell Cascade OR you could run reg Spell Cascade to get yourself farming T16.

Also do note that an Inpulsa is a great investment for entry into red maps (you don't need a 6L, I used a 3L and a 5L helm (essence of horror) to start farming. Do note you need Skitterbots for Inpulsa to work.

The key items for the build on a budget are:

Leadership's Price with no more than -1% to maximum resist for each category.

Two rings, each with Life gain on spell hit and Mana gain on spell hit. Otherwise, life and resists.

Put Aspect of the Spider on something. Get someone to craft it for you, should run you 20C.

Use Fenumus' Spinnerets until you can afford a Watcher's Eye jewel that grants ES on hit.

Your weapon should be a Duskdawn of a Cane of Kulumak

Gloves should be Mexis Gloves. Life/Resists/Attributes

Make your own 30% More Elemental helmet with Concentrated Effect

Chest can be an exploding stat stick or an impulsa.

Belt is for Life/Resists/Stats

Use Catalysts to fine tune your stats to make them match.

Should be ~1 Ex to get running at this point. It's not a good league start though because it *needs* Leadership's Price, which is expensive at league start.
In league start starting non crit with ele overload is fine and still kills pretty much everything (i did a8 sirus and some maven invitations for my uncharted realms passives as non crit) until you can get the amulet.
Alright cool i'll look more into gearing once I can equip the budget staff. Just learning the mechanics of it and what not, fun looking build. Appreciate the help!

Amazing. Would be fantastic if a 1ex build can actually take down red maps comfortably I reckon. The defenses are backed into the character's block and stuff.

Need your input on a post I'm about to make - it's all about ditching Essence Glutton and getting Commander of Darkness back!! :DD
