[3.11] Cold BV PF Indigon ft. RF | All content done in HC! | Fast mapper, safe boss-killer
At league start it's like 600-700k DPS (no Indygon no shit) poison PF with no indygon and no shit it's like 900-1m DPS on 3sec ramp and better mapping. But your ehp will suffer. This is how you league start with this.
###edit All od this is on PoB I didnt league start any od this myself Last edited by madziar169 on Sep 5, 2020, 6:27:32 PM

Bex just posted a new sceptre base type with implicit Elemental Overload:
This could possibly change the tree a bit or at least save 2 points. | |
Would it be possible to make this build work with a headhunter. How hard would it to cap resists and chaos resist without the belt?
| |
" The 2 points are worth the 40% damage and ease of finding a good sceptre imo. If there's ALSO a MoM one, it could be huge. but I don't see this build running cloak of defiance anytime soon, tbh. |
|
I would say it's pretty easy to get capped resists on other gear. You can check out my character if you like. I'm not using HH on it but I can easily swap to HH if I want to.

" This is definitely a great HH build. Looking at poe.ninja, it seems like a very popular belt choice for the build, even in HC where HH isn't the ultimate belt for every character. As for EO, saving 2 passive points but losing 40% ele damage seems like a good deal. The 40% damage mostly matters for the explodey chest, doesn't change much for BV's damage. But yeah like Darkxell said, the build wants to path towards MoM anyway so I don't see much potential for drastically changing the skill tree |

I would like to play this Build in Heist SFF as a league Starter. What should i aim for when start mapping?
| |
" As an SSF league starter, it's not gonna be easy. Nugiyen had an SSF no-indigon version that made a lot of sense: https://poe.ninja/challengehcssf/builds/char/nugiyen/CaffeinatedBoomer?i=4&search=class%3DPathfinder DPS was way lower than an indigon version, but the clear was great and it still could do all content. However, it got carried a lot by Harvest-crafting. His gear is insane by SSF non-harvest standards. I'm not exactly sure how you can avoid getting bottle-necked by your DPS as an SSF league-starter. Even reaching 1m shaper dps can be hard. There's a good chance that going crit is a necessity before Indigon. You'd basically remove the cluster jewel setup and invest all those points into crit scaling. Working on unveiling the trigger craft should be a priority (Jun missions in T5+ maps, cause it's an ilvl 75 unveil). Taste of hate is another big piece that barely drops naturally, so you'd want to target-farm The Hunger div cards in Carcass maps. Hrimsorrow drops a lot and would help with conversion early on. The clear is also not gonna be great before an explochest. The best bets are obliteration and even reserving some of your MoM mana for herald of ice in low maps. You'd definitely also need all the AoE scaling you can easily get on the tree (e.g. blast radius, amplify) Last edited by Niedzwiedz on Sep 10, 2020, 3:36:52 PM

This should be obvious, but this is also a risky starter because of patch notes.
Explody chests might very well go. This build heavily relies on them, and would not be the same at all without. I plan to play something very similar (altho about 3 times more damage and faster, but less phys resistant). If crusader explosions are gone, I'm not playing this. If they only make them apply to spell and attack kills, or lessen the damage, I think it would be a fair nerf. pretty much anything else puts puts this build from godlike to very average imo. Also, for starters, I have planned a poison starter. It's very squishy and not suited for HC at all, but easily reaches 5M + dps with 2-3 ex of investment, for the first week. Using the same tree made it challenging obviously, as if I wanted to just spam regrets, I'd play toxic rain. Last edited by Darkxellmc on Sep 10, 2020, 6:55:34 PM
