[3.11] Cold BV PF Indigon ft. RF | All content done in HC! | Fast mapper, safe boss-killer
It seems like the dual sceptre version has diverged a bit from the OP's original post as far as the Large Cluster jewels go. I'm about to swap over from the Bane Pathfinder to BV, wondering if we're still shooting for Vengeful Commander/Doryani's Lesson/X (where X is not taken on the skill tree), or if the Blast Freeze notable I'm seeing everyone pick up is worth it.
Just have this one large cluster (Vengeful/Doryani/Sadist) so far, wondering what I should shoot for for the 2nd one, do we need/want two Doryani's notables? Or is it better to snag one with Blast Freeze/Vengeful Commander/_______ and actually skill all three? Last edited by gibtuck on Mar 3, 2021, 6:58:17 PM

" Yea as you mentioned, the build has really changed a lot since the OP made the post. The original guide was intended for a hardcore playstyle, and so there was an extra emphasis on survivability by using Doryani's Lesson. The leech is actually a little overkill now, considering the amount of mana recovery we can scale, which translates into an already massive quantity of life regen from Indigon. So you're better off not running Doryani's Lesson at this point. The nice thing with that is that you can pick whatever notable your build needs. There really isn't a "best" overall option in my opinion. If you want straight up damage, Blanketed Snow is the best choice. If you want more defence, Blast Freeze is perfect for those T16 100% deli farmers or delvers. You can also take Inspired Oppression if you want to sustain your rage regen better with more Divergent Berserk uptime. (Pair this with Cold Conduction on one of your medium clusters) Can also grab Prismatic Heart if you're struggling with resists, though this option is probably inferior to the three mentioned above as you min/max your gear. Similarly, you could use Widespread Destruction as your 2nd notable, but the build already has so much AOE, I personally don't think it's necessary. Vengeful Commander will always be your #1 notable, so that should be on every large cluster jewel you have. This build also is quite starved on skill points, so 99.9% of the time, you will be skipping the 3rd notable. Last edited by sabermetrics on Mar 3, 2021, 7:19:42 PM

Bow or Dual spectre?
What is the best? Can anybody help me? Which would be cheaper? |
|
I'm running
1x Blast Freeze + Vengeful Commander large 1x Blanketed Snow + Vengeful Commander large 2x Vengeful Commander + Replenishing Presence mediums Cold conduction + Blast Freeze medium is interesting. Cold conduction is a 15% more dmg multiplier (additive with enemy dmg taken) and it lets you take a 2nd large with Vengeful Commander and Blanketed Snow. The question is if Cold Conduction + Blanketed Snow beats Vengeful Commander + Replenishing Presence. I have to PoB it out. | |
" Neither one is better than the other. They both excel at different things. Bow: - Better boss damage (can be up to 2x more damage) - Cheaper to get started compared to dual sceptre - Less gem slots for utility Dual Sceptres: - Better clear (mainly noticeable on juiced/100% delirium maps) since it scales explody a lot better due to hatred effectiveness. - Worse single target dps (still way more than enough to clear all content) - Higher potential to be tanky (since dual sceptres can have mana rolls on both weapons) - Can get more AoE on Blade Vortex than bows (bows typically run conc effect, and can't get 2x aoe enchants on the weapon) Dual sceptres are more of a well-rounded build. If you just want to push as much bossing DPS as possible, Bows will have a much easier time scaling that to higher levels. Last edited by sabermetrics on Mar 3, 2021, 8:16:47 PM

Anyone got tips on making a nice belt or ring? I'm wondering if I should bother with a frostbite ring or just put the curse in a trigger weapon. Also I'm thinking of just going crit. bottled faith+ spell crit on chest

From reading this thread it apparently makes mapping better if you have curse on hit ring. I think id recommend that especially for 100% delirium juiced maps.

Small update on some new experimentations. I've tried switching over to a no-dodge build, since if I can tank a Sirius meteor then there really is nothing above ground level I need to worry about dodging. Also, stun immune from a single flask craft is nice, no other investment needed.
Currently, it is surviving nicely in delve: here is a 740 lich with 3 nasty mods https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MvtJo7mjzLY&feature=youtu.be Last edited by theblindsaint on Mar 4, 2021, 8:25:45 PM
