[3.21] Aegis Incinerate Elementalist - Tank with over 10mil Shaper DPS!

Sorry if this is a dumb question but this is just comprehensive for me:
"
If you can't get an Awakened version of Hextouch, use the regular one and add Combustion here instead of in the Cast When Damage Taken-setup. That would leave you a spare socket to add something like Cold Snap for a bit of extra defense.

Wouldn't Combustion need to support a skill that does fire damage to be able to ignite(while Reckoning only does physical damage)?
Is the Cold Snap there just for chilling mobs?

Nope, will ignite on any hit.
And cold snap is there for the chill and for the Frenzy generation :)

Ok, I have now reviewed the full list. Here are some thoughts. Let me know what you think.

* Flame Dash: 20% increased travel distance

I had no issue with Flame Dash last league so I think giving up a little cool down increase for a nice increased distanced traveled will make zipping around maps much faster.

*Frost Shield: 10% of Damage dealt to you or Allies in Area with Hits by Enemies in Area is taken from Frost Shield's Life before your Life or Energy Shield

This is for the single curse set up in place of Cold Snap. This alternate quality will give a little more defense

*Infernal Cry: 20% chance to Cover Enemies in Ash on Hit

We give up AOE but this means we can keep up ash near constantly whether we are actively using Infernal Cry or not. That seems really good if I am reading it right.

*Cast when Damage Taken Support: Supported Skills have 20% increased Skill Effect Duration

This seems to work nicely with Molten Shell

*Enhance Support: 60% reduced Dexterity Requirement

If you don't intend to level the gem, this might help people trying to deal with Dex requirements. I can't recall what the current dex requirement is for the build.

I actually have no idea how to interprit that Infernal Cry mod... Does it work even when you don't use the skill? Would seem strange to me. Would still need to cast IC right?

Okay I just tested in-game and the source of fire damage comes from HoA which converts some of your phys dmg to fire :)
And when I take off HoA my Reckoning can no longer ignite, so it does still require fire damage to trigger the ignite and - fire resist parts.

Hmm this is strange, you are right.

When you cast IC, you already cover enemies in ASH. So what would the alternate quality be used for them if they are already covered....?

I will see if anyone on reddit has asked this question...

Here is the response I got. I don't know if this is correct but if it is, then the alternate quality won't work because we don't use the exerts

the warcry covers enemies in ash on use, it also causes monster explosions and triggers Combust which both hit and would have a chance to cover enemies in ash that infernal cry did not reach on the cast. Basically you don't warcry on every pack, but your future exerts will have a chance to cover enemies in ash

Ah yea, that would actually make sense. Wouldn't do this build any good though.

Thanks for the clarification!
I really like to play your build sounds very interesting for me.
BUT but but.... you wrote its expensive.. so i shily ask you.
Is it possible to play it as leauge starter i loved Incinerate so much.

What are you thinking about my idea from bottom of your heart?

It actually is very viable as league starter!
You will just have to skip on the fancy stuff until you can afford it :)
Most important piece of the build is the Aegis Aurora shield.
The rest can come later :)
