Indeed, both will work marvelously.

I am really anticipating seeing the weps go berserk with vaal haste and flesh offering popped at the same time. It's gonna be a thing of beauty.

I think a streamer already made a CIP impale build and the result was around 10 mil POE dps? I figure it'll get better as the league goes.

I think it's great there's at least 3 different ways to play the same skill and all of them are pretty viable.


It is around 8-9m DPS at AW level 20, naked with no gear and no Unnatural Strength.

AW level 31 can be reached without Empower. That should add 3, maybe 4 max AWs on top of the damage increase the levels themselves give. Then factor in any gear and I realistically expect to see 25m+ Shaper DPS. Not to mention the increase to clear speed with 17 or 18 AWs instead of 14 or 15.

But I like that the build has multiple viable versions, keeps it interesting and will hopefully help keep the price of CIP down a bit, though i doubt it... I expect it to stay far above 1ex for a long time.

And your choice to go ES is interesting too, will do a quick check on that too for my tree, might be worth it and save some passive points used to path into the scion life wheel.

In the utility gem section you mention using frost bomb for a higher cold exposure %. I just wanted to double check on that since there aren't a lot of details. You will need to path into Avatar of Fire for that to work alongside Elemental Equilibrium correct? And it won't stack with Elemental Army so should that be replace with meat shield?

Correct, would need Avatar of Fire, and also yes, does not stack with Elemental Army.

+1 body armour, +1 amulet. Both not hard to get.

For endgame we can even go for +2 from the amulet. And both +1 dex gems and +1 phys gems are prefixes, so in the very late min/max stage, awakener orb those two mods until you hit a good third prefix, and go for the prefixes cannot be changed+scour. Then either meta craft for good suffixes or just multimod for something like minion movement speed and whatever else you need.

That reminds me, don't forget that AW is a dex gem ya'll. Without dex from my gear I end up with 34 dex :D And level 21 AW needs 100. It's not that big a deal as 100 isnt too hard to manage, but it is something to keep in mind. Especially while leveling. Might want to plan to get a +30 dex node to avoid the hassle of getting it on gear while playing through the acts.

Whats your opinion on what is going to be stronger?Animate Weapon builds or Chains of Command builds?
Do u guys think animate weapons on the floor will be better or lingering from ek and bladefall?

in the leveling section, you dont really list some of the skills together, you just add them in order of getting them, for example, in act 3-5 leveling section you put

"Gem links will depend on items found so far, but the goal is to have:
- Animate Weapon in a 4-link with +1 minion gem levels"

so i dont actually no what to link with AW at this point. Hope you can help out. thanks for the great guide to AW :)
