Does the better base matter that much?

The difference is definitely not worth the base cost if you're on a budget.
Overall if they got identical stats, you gain around ~100es pool extra with the titanium.

Just thought I'd stop by. I think this is my 4th time playing lightning trap since betrayal. I've killed everything pretty easily, but there's always a problem with physical mitigation since we have low armor/block. Figured I'd fit in Determination and Vaal Molten Shell to help with that side of things.(Didn't have to drop any auras, just had to play around with enlightens and a small cluster) If anyone is interested, currently lvl 95, I'll be taking Arcane Potency by 98 and Purity of Flesh if I push to 100.

I've self crafted all the gear except the big cluster, couldn't be bothered so got a cheap 50c one. Currently saving up for double pen watcher's eye and recrafting my shield.

I feel I solved the phys issue in scourge league when I added the optional "adv" tree to the POB.

The video is here, where I show what changed.

I have 50-60% Phys mitigation with rumi's active atm in this league/current gear and 35-40% without flasks.
This comes from Crown, Belt dense craft (armor) and using the advanced tree(either one works), where you gain 33% armor increase, combo'ed with your defiance banner.

This time I bought an actual 6L, good job me.

Also managed to roll these bad boys and my ES jumped to 8k. Once I get a trap speed implicit on the gloves and lab enchant on the boots, I guess I'm sorted with these slots until I want to craft something really endgame for them.

I can't use Zealotry after link with Arrogance Support since it need 100% life reserve. Am I missing something?
