[3.10] Gryph's Volatile Dead Necromancer || Fun, Medium Budget, Tanky, Millions of DPS

I tried searching and couldn't find the answer. Maybe I'm just bad at searching in these forums.

But... why is desecrate only level 1? Isn't Volatile Damage proportional to the corpse HP? Lvl 1 desecrate only generates lv 41 corpses.

Laziness. Should be level 7 at max.

Also, only the initial "explosion" - when the ball is created, gets scaled by corpse life. The homing Volatiles are unaffected by this.
Hi, I somehow managed to get to the state when I can survive in maps.
But can't find a way of how to keep my ES up.
Also I'm only able to run 2 auras (Zealotry and Discipline), dont have enough mana if I put Herald up :)
Can you please check my profile?
Any insights really appreciated, coz I really wanted to try this.

Just need more ES to boost ES recovery from leech. It's based on max ES so more ES=more better. Also, don't feel bad about not sutaining your ES, I am also not sustaining my ES right now, but the leech is helping mitigate the damage a lot.

Note for everyone, you can sustain mana pretty well with Mind Over Matter as long as you don't take Corpse Pact. it's a DPS loss, but it's a lot smoother.

New video showcasing this method of sustain. Works really well, though it is unfortunate that Corpse Pact cannot be used yet.

Hi, do you think I could fit this jewel into the build or its not worth it?

Arcane Adept:
Channelling Skills deal 20% increased Damage
5% increased Attack and Cast Speed while Channelling
Gain Arcane Surge after Channelling for 1 second

Conjured Wall:
25% increased Spell Damage
+6% Chance to Block Spell Damage if you've Cast a Spell Recently

Thaumophage:
0.6% of Spell Damage Leeched as Energy Shield
20% increased Maximum total Recovery per second from Energy Shield Leech
10% chance to Hinder Enemies on Hit with Spells, with 30% reduced Movement Speed

Definitely. Use the jewel socket in the top left. Conjured wall is the only awkward one since we don't actively cast spells but rather trigger them. Good with the movement skill of your choice though.
So I have the build online with a 5-L Martyr of Innocence and a 6-Link Corrupted chest.

The noteable passives I have taken for ES Regen/Leech are as follows:
ES Leech, Increased ES Leech, Light Eater
ES Leech, ES Leech, Increased ES Leech, Ethereal Feast
Heart of Flame

This provides the following stats across all noteables:
0.3% of Spell Damage Leeched as ES
30% increased total Recovery per second from ES Leech
0.8% of Spell Damage Leeched as ES
20% increased Maximum total Recovery per second from ES Leech
24% increased Damage while on Full Energy Shield (worthless)
0.3% of Spell Damage Leeched as ES
0.2% of Spell Damage Leeched as ES
10% increased total Recovery per second from ES Leech
30% increased total Recovery per second from ES Leech
0.3% of Spell Damage Leeched as ES
30% increased total Recovery per second from ES Leech
6% increased Attack and Cast Speed while leeching ES
0.2% of Fire Damage Leeched as ES

The following bonuses are provided by gear:
0.4% of Spell Damage Leeched as ES during Flask Effect (100% uptime)
Regenerate 0.6% of ES per second (6-Link Chest)

This gives us a grand total of:
2.5% of Spell Damage Leeched as ES (pseudo because of 0.2% being Fire only)
100% increased total Recovery per second from ES Leech
20% increased Maximum total Recovery per second from ES Leech

Even with all of this (not including bonus ES regen from passives or Discipline), I cannot net a positive sustain for ES unless I am hitting a bazillion enemies but I can sustain with Flasks popping regularly (not ES just the ability to stay alive).

I have not tried to stack the Watcher's Eye on top of this yet as I am rather poor.

However, I do not think it is possible to sustain ES without Glorious Vanity/Watcher's Eye at this point and even then we're still going to be missing out on a ton of damage passives because of the heavy investment into ES Leech/Regen.

Can a case be made for forgoing ES altogether and try to stack Life/Mana/Mana Regen and MoM using Kitava's Thirst Cluster (5% Life/Mana Recovered every 1 Second) + normal Life leech from Spell Damage/Damage and Mana Recovery passives?

I also don't really feel the impact from Bone Offering much at all. My life still drops and I have almost nuked myself a couple of times but was able to recover with flasks pretty well.

I am also only level 78 currently and went with survivability passives before fleshing out the damage passives. By level 91 I should have most of the Crit passives which may help tremendously with the ES leech. I can also increase my max ES some more by getting better boots too.

Just a thought. So far I can map up to level 5 rare maps comfortably without too much trouble (haven't had any 6+ drop yet to try).

I saved up my currency running low tier maps, bought scold's, bought the gloves, and bought glorious vanity. There is no explanation in the guide how to get corrupted soul from glorious vanity, i.e. where to slot it. I'm really lost and feeling super frustrated at having dumped all that currency - help?

I do not currently sustain ES at all (as I have previously stated). Right now I have Ghost Reaver only for a little extra ES recovery (using ES Leech Support as I am always leeching ES). Though I probably don't even need this.

I use Kitava's Thirst (check latest video)
I use Mind Over Matter
I DO NOT use Corpse Pact
I cannot currently sustain mana or life while corpse pact is active and instead have taken Commander of Darkness for the time being.

When I get Glorious Vanity/Corrupted Soul I'll start sustaining ES much more effectively. I do not think it is reasonable to try to sustain ES fully on lower budgets right now.

And uhh...you'll notice NOT having Bone Offering up. Just because you take some big hits (thanks delirium death effects) doesn't mean it's not doing its thing. I have 73/46 block with Bone Offering up right now. I played without the Offering until after Uber Lab and it made a HUGE difference in survivability.

Anyways, TL:DR -

Trying to sustain ES without Glorious Vanity, ES on hit, and/or a bigger ES pool is a fool's errand. Use ES leech passive points on life/damage. Drop Discipline and just use Herald of Ash+nothing or Zealotry and Mind Over Matter.

Hard to see in the pic, but that's taken on Pain Attunement. I would slot it there. I'll double the check the guide and make sure I make a note for it.
Does Corrupted flesh appear on Pain Attunement regardless of the roll? Is it enough that it's Doryanis Glorious Vanity?
