Im considering starting SSF again as well, either holy relic or hexblast with new alchemist mark and scaling low tolerance poison (well, i will probs do holy relic into hexblast because it rly requires clusters). I have pobs for both and both are still poison builds so at least I will have something to play when I cant rly play traditional poison builds that I like (without being 0dps :d)

I usually put my builds here (open the link not import it to PoB :d). Im still not happy with the hexblast pob but I think the holy relic pob is mostly finished.

What about Assassin for SA? Considering all the PF nerfs in 3.19 seems like it could be a decent alternative?

I always thought the helm chant for SA was the extra pod anyway?

SA is also getting a 5% buff but not sure if that's anything to get excited about.

assassin was not good for SA even when assassin was unnerfed, I really dont think its going to be good now. The biggest issue is mostly that PA sucks so crit poison builds are kind of a meme now and also SA clear is pretty meh without PF prolif.

Holy Relic is a really interesting way of leveling.
I am sad to be honest.

Every league I try something else and I always come back to this one. Mostly because it is a fast and tanky bow build. Aaaand with poison. The playstyle is also so unique and cool. I always enjoyed that you (Deathbeam) find different versions with their ups and downs. So thanks for your build <3

Is this really zDPS now or more likely still in the range of roughly 10mil DPS on decent gear?

Focus is a skill that lasts 4 seconds and has a 8 second cooldown after that 4 seconds. This means it is up at most 33% of the time. With the 180 focus mod, the highest you can get, or the 140 focus mod, the highest you can craft right now, both are dropping to a max of 90. Lets take this to the extreme, the 180 focus mod increases your damage by ~70% more on some of the builds I have made/look at while it is up. However it is only up a third of the time so this adds a total of ~23% more damage if you always are attacking. Now, this gets cut in half to ~13% more damage if you are always attacking. Based on a POB I am looking at, while focused, going from 180->90 focus is 19% less damage while focused, this is because it is additive with duration and statistics shenanigans.

TLDR: This change is ~19% less damage while focus is up. Now many people, myself including mostly crafted our helms and didn't get the 180 focus mod and instead crafted the 130-140 focus mod, which means the damage loss is closer to 11% less.

Additionally, this extra damage was really only needed for bossing or REALLY rare uniques or juiced+sentinel juiced expedition or other extreme endgame content like wave 30 simul bosses. The clear is still excellent.

The 5% increased to added damage comes out from what I have seen to be ~8-9% increase in damage that partially, but not fully mitigates this.

I am planning to go something like this build this league, but I am considering the other options for helms or even the devouring diadem to help with getting auras and still getting the focus mod. I really liked the large burst of damage focus would give and it made many fights feel more interactive where you had to try to spot the openings where you could safely attacking and then hit focus.

hmm, really; interesting.
I might play around with it on standard soon to get a feel for it. Just figured if I could crit cap easily on Assassin (esp with brittle nerf) that having chunky 5-charge SA crits would be nice.

Then the new Alchemist Mark might be half decent dmg? But tbh I feel like for bossing, regardless of its dmg the bosses will move around too much to stand in the pool but we'll see.
Ok decided to give pobbing of the build 1 more chance, this is without Divine Flesh and with Covenant (as I think new covenant is the only thing that can bring the build to doing reasonable damage for currency invested). But thanks to that the build loses ~half of its survivability. Its still playable but the defense is now like above average of normal build and nothing amazing. This also requires 3.19 tree so if you arent on dev PoB it wont work.

I still dont think I will be playing the build next league (as dont thin there is any chance that it will be better than it was this league) but im sure there are some ppl that dont mind being a bit squishier while at least doing respectable damage.
