[3.11] Divine Ire Hierophant (Self cast)

Hey there. I'm currently level 70 without having uberlab done with this build. The mapping so far has been pretty nice so far, but i've found the single target to be a bit lacking. seeing as the skill is a huge laser beam, i would think the single target would be it's calling card, but so far for me it hasn't been. Is my gear okay? do i just need uberlab to make it better? thanks.

Found some hidden synergy within the build that I want to share.

Few days ago I got Ming's Heart which gives us a lot of damage but it cuts down both our Life and ES and in compensation we only get Chaos res. Doesn't sound too exciting right?
But we already got Chaos res from the tree. And we naturally want to pick up Atziri's Promise which gives another chunk of Chaos res.
If you have some on your other gear as well by accident you can easily cap your Chaos res with the flask on.

Having this much Chaos res has it's benefits obviously but where it really shines is it enables us to use Forbidden Taste.
The downside is completely negated by the fact that we have this much Chaos res and permanent Consec Ground which grants us health regen.

This might not be the optimal setup but it is really effective.

Ming's Heart was discussed a few pages back, though Forbidden Taste didn't come up. It's an interesting reaction, and having high chaos res overall is quite lovely, but I'm not sure it's worth losing the 40% cold conversion which helps a lot in later bosses to keep them at least slightly chilled.

Hey I just wanted to thank you for the build. I recently got back into POE and was looking for a relaxing build with a little bit faster clear speed. I recently cleared a t14 and plan on clearing guardians sometime this weekend. Swapping to EB definitely helped late game, as running MOM and getting 1shot you lose all your mana. Something i think you should mention for this build is the enchant for helmets +40% divine damage. This boosted me from doing t8's at around level 75, to around t14 instantly. The helmet enchant with decent rolls is pretty expensive in SC, and I understand this build is for SSF. Anyway, thanks for the guide. I plan on putting a spin onto this later, and want to get to shaper and uber elder sometime.

I went back and forth (using lots of regrets) between EB and no EB. I found that I'm far tankier without EB, at about 5k/2k/2k life/mana/ES. This is in T11's, without a head enchant. I might be wrong, but that's how it feels to me!

Your gear looks far better than mine, and I oneshot bosses at low-tier maps. 2-3 shot bosses in yellow maps. Really not sure what you might be doing wrong.

EDIT: Taking a better look at your passives, you aren't using Elemental Overload yet you haven't got much investment into crit. Either move points into crit, or take Elemental Overload.

I plan to use 1 Call of the Brotherhood but as it is I'm struggling to get even one of them in SSF. I think I chanced like 200 or maybe even more Cold/Lightning rings.

I actually ran some more maps today and I feel far more comfortable with no EB. If you're running anything below t13 I would use EB because you can position correctly and not get 1shot by white mobs. I plan on doing elder and I already did his guardians, but the 3kES is just to much to give up for the extra damage from the auras. I also can't out regen the blood boil so I don't run that anymore.

edit: I also imported my character into POB, I'm hitting a quarter mil at 20 stacks so this character can definitely do some end game things if played properly.

I'm having a little trouble with this build right now, mostly with bosses. T9+ bosses do a lot of damage to me and I find myself unable to use Divine Ire much since I have to constantly reposition, so I end up relying a lot on Holy Flame Totem.

I'm sitting at 4.6k life and 2k ES now with EB and MoM and I feel like I'm not putting out enough damage with Divine Ire. What should I look to be getting next? I feel like either building into a staff and using a 6L Holy Flame Totem or a better scepter that helps with bosses more. I'm also thinking of dropping EB since between the two builds you have on PoB, the non-EB one has much higher damage.

You might need to look into no-EB. You have a lot better gear than I do, you shouldn't really be struggling too much on yellow maps.

Also I'm not sure how you are doing on trials but 4th Ascendancy is a big boost to single target dmg, especially if you also pick up the crit nodes and pop your Diamond flask.

Edit: Also having your Golem tank for you in the non-EB version is a big enabler for allowing you focus more on DPS-ing rather than running.

I just swapped from EB Mom to non EB and yeah, it seems a lot better as well. I will miss herald of ice though :( It's so satisfying when things shatter.

Also, not sure if it's been discussed yet. I get a lot more tooltip dps if I swap conc effect for energy leech, it seems like it's just a flat out improvement?

Also, do you think the enemies explode for 5% is worth using the non caster mace compared to a spectre? You could get more boss dps that way, and map clear isn't really a problem.

Last thing, it's somewhat annoying to get 3 reds on a 120+ int item since we're going for es items, a nice replacement for 2r2b is having a tempest shield in there replacing the inc duration, assuming you're using the fortify setup and not the extra cwdt with tempest shield.

conc effect actually isn't affecting tooltip at all for me so I am not using it out of the chance its broken.

using added fire damage in its place, I am still deleting mobs/bosses as long as I am critting
