Hi guys,

could need some help on crafting a helmet for the build. Got a hubris with the enchant. What is the best way to get to high es rolls on it?
And how do get people to increased es rolls above 100%?
How much may it cost (on average) to get to 320+ es in total?

And another quastion: Got the -1% mana on golden rule, but as mentioned here before that doesn't change anything. So in order to run dread banner i need a second one with -1%? Is that worth the effort?

Thanks for answers in advance

The best way to craft the helm is to pick up some dense fossils from delve. You can find them in any of the side areas in the Fungal Cavern biomes (green ones). The depth level doesn't matter much. I farmed most of mine around depth 50, after having built good supply of azurite and sulfite.

Find fungal biome off the main shaft then start exploring. You are looking for long paths between two nodes; the longer the better. Complete the connection between the nodes, then travel backward. Most of the fossils come from areas behind shattered walls, and if a delve square doesn't have a node, it is guaranteed to have at least one shattered wall.

In addition to dense fossils, you are also looking for perfect fossils.

For actual crafting, this it the process I'd use.

1. Scour the helm to turn it white (the implicit will remain)
2. Armor scrap it to 20 quality
3. Perfect Fossil + Resonator to get it to 30 quality. This could take multiple attempts.
4. Dense fossil + single socket resonator until you have T1/T2 max energy shield and T1/T2 energy shield percent
5. Look at value ranges and decide if you want to Divine spam to increase the values.

How many dense fossils this will take depends on RNG (of course) and what is good enough for you. 300+ ES and an open suffix for a veiled craft is a good start and likely achievable with ~ 15 fossils or so. 400+ ES and 40%+ resist would be top-tier. This would likely require using dual-socket resonators to target both the ES and the resist, which I haven't attempted yet.

For your second question on mana reservation, look back a couple of pages for my detailed breakdown. There's also a link to a Google Sheets that will show you exactly how much more "reduced mana reservation" you need to see a change in your mana pool. Each skill is calculated separately (https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/2295570/page/19)
Forgive me if this has been discussed already, but what is everyone seeing in terms of max poison stacks? Since we don't really have duration, Slower proj is giving me more damage on paper than vile toxins with only 5 maximum stacks on shaper. Does this make sense or am I missing something?

can someone explain pls why using EE with this build?

There is no problem with max poison stacks. Vs a single target you can maintain 40 virulence by attacking. This has been tested.

Rain of arrows hits 4-7 times(just go low end and say 5) a shot and attack rate is .25 so 4 attacks a second. 4APS x 5 hits per = 20 poisons a second. You only need 10 stacks for vile toxins to have max effect. Poisons last 2 seconds. So over those 2 seconds you are creating 40 poisons on the enemy and 80(With golden rule) on yourself.

I tested this with a level 1 crawler. No links. No Golden Rule equipped vs General Adus in The Refinery.

This has been discussed in both this thread and the original build that Gjmine links to in the guide.

Once you have enough reduced mana reservation to run Hatred + Generosity, the crawler does a lot of extra cold damage. By adding even a single point of fire or lightning damage to the Rain Of Arrows attacks, we proc the EE debuff for cold, further increasing damage.

Just make sure that you don't do ANY cold damage, otherwise, EE will lower the crawler's DPS. You can check by hovering over your RoA skill and seeing what types of damage it produces. The extra fire or lightning damage can come from anything. A corruption on the quiver is a good choice, but rings, amulets, gloves, and jewels are also candidates.

It's actually kind of hard to test because mobs die so fast, but if you deactivate HoA, go into an area you can survive a few hit from, then hit a mob with RoA, you should see that they become "vulnerable to cold" when you target them.
Just did uber elder for the first time with this build, ez deathless kill.
Only my second ever kill, first being on a poets pen arc character that took several sets of frags to learn for the first time.

OP and I love it :)
Anybody selling a full build :)

Looking to switch to this from a full Winter Orb build
Managed to snag a really good helm for the build for really cheap, no longer do I have to be stuck with 20% hoa reservation.

with this, I don't need the jewels corruption nor do i need enlighten 4. I still have 10% mana unreserved (about a 100 mana). That single reduced mana reserved mod is insane.
nice, but too expensive!
