Would this build also work as Inquisitor ( chaos innoc as well) with the recent changes to consecrated ground being created just by standing still ( which you are as you channel). Being in it also makes you immune to all elemental ailments.
Also get 200 ES regen from the ascendancy when standing in it.

Yes, and no :)

It works, yeah. But if anything, ascendant [elementalist-inquisitor] is far stronger, and basically also have unlimited consecrated grounds on boss.
200 ES/sec at this point is what... about 2% of your es if you have 10k?
Nice, but totally doesn't worth it to change into inq.

Occultist is immune to all elemental ailments even without standing still :)
(It means that if something froze inquisitor, when he is running, it will still be kind of stun, he will be forced to stop for a moment. Or if you run a map with chilly grounds, it will not make you stop, and therefore still be a nuisance. Occultist, on the other hand, is immune entirely)
And most importantly, occ have stun immunity as well.

What i like in inq is life regen at ascendancy small nodes, but meh, you lose way too much more.

After trying and failing to kill Shaper with a Frost Blades Melee evasion build, I'm actually really looking forward to a face-tanky build...

Build updated for 3.6.

- replaced Life Leech with Energy Leech

Fun times ahead!

Why swap LL for EL? We have lots of leech from tree and EL gives 39% when Cod gives 44% (5% more dmg)
Yes we lose crit, but to proc overload we have lots of spels to crit...
looks awesome,a question,is good for uber lab farmer? ty

Of course it can farm UL, but there are better and cheaper builds for that. And most importantly, faster builds.

Such as? With CD the crit chance is now practically zero.

My PoB gives it a 4.5% crit chance with a completed level 100 tree. Still wouldn't depend on anything under 8% for a EO trigger.

I wouldn't rely on a lv 100 tree for the obvious reason.

We can unlink CD from WO and lose some of the clear speed. This may work for the single target setup. Although for the bosses that extra leech may be more useful.

With all the leech changes, I'm not sure how much leech we will really need. We'll see how it works in practice. If swapping EL for CD proves to be safe then the guide will reflect that.

For right now, EL is the most reliable solution, especially while leveling, when you may need help reaching the leech cap.

Ofc im speaking about boss settup not trash clear. But anyway ball lightning and WO all we need to overload

And regarding leech cap. In PoB with your gear from 3.5 and new tree with CD:
Leech cap: 3428
Leech per instance: 1916 / 5 = 383
leech per second & per hit = 383

So basicly we will be at max leech with 10 hits of IS.

Lets w8 for league and EL in pob so we can see numbers.

I trust your a better math wizard having played the build a lot etc

but would a selfcast CI WI OCC be better in terms of playing on HC or perhaps in terms of dps?

Thx for the build

EDIT: a pastebin link would be quite handy tbh, imported your 3.5 and went from there
