[3.6] The Blizz Sorc - Icestorm/Winter Orb CI Occultist - Viable For Everything
So.. I wonder how badly this 0.75 cast time will reflect on IS builds ?
I was silenced for telling the name of USA president for 40 days.
I was silenced for stating "I am Jesus" for 5 days. Maybe it is time the deeds of the moderators to become public, so peoples understand that they hired a cheap mods which enforcing their "woke" agenda on players.
For end-game build level 96-97 i was thinking of dropping Breath of Rime cluster (4 skill points) in order to use those 4 skill points elsewhere in the tree (Cold Heart calculation + Resourcefullness cluster)
Keeping in mind that in the clearing stuff we will switch CD with Hypothermia in a 5-link WO setup do you think that loosing some Freeze and Chill modifiers and some % increased cold damage will affect badly the clearing speed? level 97 build variant with ZO and 2.2 % of ES Regenerated per second + Consecrated Ground (Astramentis amulet): https://pastebin.com/MGSdtw4S Last edited by lilianmarius on Mar 7, 2019, 6:33:53 AM

Is this build completely dead now that it's had its maximum ES leech rate halved?
|
|
The build is far from dead. Before the max leech rate was 40%, now it is 30%.
It also got one more socket to play with. Basically, the damage got better, the leech rate slightly nerfed. It might even be possible to facetank certain high end enemies like Uber Elder now since their main damage is cold just like ours. There are other ways to recoup ES, e.g. now Zealot's Oath + Sulphur flask is a possibility, the sulphur flask you were already using anyways.
so funny clearing all maps without problems and really fast in std.
But i will miss the funny sulphit scarabs hard. 5000 sulphite in one node thats really nice only the need of astramentis is a pain. In sc build i can use this funny amu but here i cant get the str and dex for using it without loosing res or dmg. Last edited by ichbinwerichbi on Mar 7, 2019, 8:57:41 AM

Now that I think about it, if I understand correctly, while we have blood rage and between cwdt-ic procs we are never at full shields. So we get the bigger more modifier from leech gem most of the time as long as we have it on.
Then again, if we have too much regen from zealot's oath and it's bigger that blood rage degen then we're always on full shields. Last edited by Lirhtim on Mar 7, 2019, 10:15:37 AM

Hi, i am looking to play this build this league. I have couple of questions.
Why does everyone want to use bloodrage for arakaali proc. By using bloodrage arent we losing access to the most OP thing about ES occultist, Wicked ward Recharge. In my Dot occultist i didn't have leech. My recharge carried me thru contents. Why are we sacrificing it. Last edited by MORPHEUS3 on Mar 7, 2019, 11:17:44 AM

" The answer is that Blood Rage is stopped for a moment by Immortal Call, which procs Arakaali's condition "50% increased Recovery of Life and Energy Shield if you've stopped taking Damage Over Time Recently", which is a huge survivability boost in some encounters. Shavronne wrapped Kaom's waist,
with her gilded purple boots. "You want my sockets?"
" DoT occultist can drop a vortex and then run around avoiding attacks and waiting for ES recharge to kick in. Icestorm requires us to stand still and channel to deal damage, therefore we can't dodge as easily. Leech gives us strong and reliable regen while facetanking things. |
|
" I understand the mechanics. I use it myself in many other builds. But here you don't recharge Energy shield due to it which is a loss in defense and counters the advantage arakaali gives. Your ES regen will give you better survivability than leech in my opinion as it is not stopped at reaching maximum ES. It is also against bosses who has phase and invulnerability stage |
