Pain attunement grants more spell damage when the character is on low life. Our life is 1. And we are always at full life (1) unless we r dead. So pain attunement won't help us.

I use hypothermia in my trash clear staff. For me it works great on trash mobs up to t16 unless i am enfeebled or they have +elemental resistance. Then its just slower. For boss, use concentrated effect always.

Hypothermia was originally part of this build but was then taken out. I used it when I had a single WI staff for part of his league and then got rid of it later on. Haven't missed it.

And for reasons that escape me I got to Lv 96. I'm definitely done now (maybe). :)

Good reminder that one is never immortal in PoE, not even with this build. I was doing Maze of the Minotaur for fun with increased crit/multi and cold/lightning damage. No big deal, but then a damn tormented spirit gives the Minotaur a super steroid boost which turned him into a nightmare.

My ES was 12,997 and I got one-shotted twice in a row...first death(s) in quite a while. Got some decent rewards (nothing too great) but still taught me a good, painful lesson. Damn Minotaur! :)

Thanks for the reply, now im using concentrated efect along with life leech gem because i have only 1 staf, at the moment i have 11.2 k ES AND I’m lvl 84, sometimes i die but maybe it’ because i don’t have vaal pact yet, in 3 lvls i will get it for sure !

Few days left to the end of Betrayal so time for small recap:

-first time 36 challanges
-first time lvl 95+
-first time uber elder down

Leveling to 39 was "WTF is that build" but after that... pure pleasure and mayhem.

But i still have a question: Somehow I am not able to get as much int as it seems to be possible, even without corrupting all the gear and hoping for the %int modifier. Currently I only have something like +- ~1688 int.

Maybe somebody can give me a hint, what i did wrong please ?

My Profile is public (char name NQLexa) and the gear and skill tree should be accessible by anybody.

So any help would be appreciated. Thx.

First step would be to get a Brute Force or Fertile Mind in the jewel slot right to the left of Chaos Innoculation and respec either the Dex or Str 30 point node for an easy INT boost. Second would be your armor...right now you just have the 52 Int which could be greatly augmented by getting one with Inc Int% and/or increased attributes if possible. Look at the one I'm using to get some idea:



Also try to get rings with %Inc Intelligence if possible and the same for Astramentis if you have the money to spare. The rings aren't too pricey...except when they have a lot of resists so you'll have to see what's available. It's pretty late in the league so use your own judgement there.

Hope this helps. You can look at my gear for reference...I'm at around 2200 INT but others on here have quite a bit more than that.

Get as much Int and ES as posible, this is the key along with might of the meek and the other Int jewels written in the build guide.Cheers !
