[3.5] Alpha and Omega, Molten Strike Raider. League Starter and End Game Finisher
for jewels the best thing you can get is actually abyss jewels. flat fire damage and fire damage with swords and hp. these are better than any combination or amount of % bonuses from regular jewels. you can get good attack speed from regular jewels though.
yes if you want to wear a kaom's you need to have an elder helmet with concentrated effect and immolate. your gear is pretty decent right now. i would probably just get some gems and sockets in order. AKA run anger and blasphemy enfeeble helps with defense as well. xoph's isn't too expensive this league actually. its like half price. just wait a bit it'll float around 5ex 4.5ex or so which is very affordable for it. i'll be getting one eventually too but im down to i think just 100c. the main thing to getting currency is zerg maps as fast as possible and get to high tier content. this is when you can craft abyss jewels to sell, get decent drops, elder/shaper bases etc, red tier elders, it all makes the currency roll in.
Just corrupted a unique jewel and ended up with this
Is that something that a molten strike build would use all the stats of?
Just started the league a bit late, currently level 79 and running tier 1-5 maps to build a map bank, currently in a situation where I feel like I don't need any upgrades urgently so i`m saving for a helm, what is the fastest method of acquiring enough currency to get my help and start progressing onto xoph's?
|

molten strike doesn't use DoT, but the other 3 are good.
umm the best way to acquire enough currency is to do chaos recipe while you're just normal mapping. this is a pretty decent steady income. you'll also just get drops. sell everything, essentially. do the dailies. the new masters are incredible (well alva/niko/zana) and just keep playing. do prophecies, do atziris, delve, syndicates, frick. so much to do you'll eventually get something worth selling.
so eventually with this build you basically are forced into a decision. either run daresso's defiance with a molten strike enchant helmet, or run a conc/immolate helm with a kaom's heart.
the 1st is better for dps and clear, but the 2nd is better for survivability.
Does hit chance matter at all? is 88% bad?
|
|
88% is fine but i wouldn't let it dip lower. accuracy is heavily underrated on abyss jewels. can get like 200 per one.
anyway what i've done recently is drop anger aura. run herald of ashe, blasphemy enfeeble and war banner. the banner gives you all the accuracy you need and thus you can drop the accuracy passives and use them elsewhere. the adrenaline boost when planted against syndicate members or bosses is also quite insane. link to inc duration for longer uptime on it. i'll probably soon place my betrayal version of the build so far into the main post
hey thanks for the tips, having fun with the build!

Is avatar of fire bad for this build? I had that recommended to me, but it seems like all my damage is fire anyway, so it wouldn't help?
Also, if i don’t have the helm enchant, what is the current best set up for my 6L molten stoke set up and my 4L cyclone set up? Last edited by SliceFella on Dec 19, 2018, 8:10:50 AM

avatar of fire is great for the build. molten strike only converts 60% of damage to fire, and making it 100% with AoF is better because 100% of the damage will be augmented by supports and elemental passives
if and when you can get a xoph's blood you can drop the passives to avatar of fire. your links are best. could replace added fire with immolate, not sure which is best, doesn't really matter. |
