its increasing the effect of the jewel's stat itself.
so if it grant you +4 dex and have 25% increased effect it becomes 5 dex.

ah, see my friend, you fell into the noob trap called "in-game physical damage reduction"
that 90% is a lie, its only 90% against very small hits.
the actual reduction is much smaller against big hits.

the build already have enough physical damage reduction and can survive the shaper's slam.
so in this case its better to increase your life pool, and guess which chest grant the most amount of life? yeap, kaoms heart.
you dont need sockets because your skill is in your helmet, and you lose damage potentially since chest cant have the 30% more elemental damage mod.
also a potential +1 to all max res (this includes chaos res).

if you go to the pob and switch kaoms with brass dome you lose over 1.5k life.
the only advantage of the brass dome is the "take no extra damage from critical strikes" mod, but we have Solaris pantheon, and while its not exactly the same, its better to use that with kaoms.


but brass dome makes immune to crits, jsut need to avoid getting shocked

And then i changed my small cluster jewel (gave up temporarily from chaos res) to get more health. Now it's over 8k.
Then i got "corrupted blood cannot be inflicted on you" on Wildfire.
And then "You get 50% reduced damage from critical strikes" on Kaom's Heart. I'm still on old pantheon "settings". Haven't even noticed there are new recommendations

With those 3 things it all feels so much better...


How giving up on %24 Chaos res + %3 maximum chaos res over life makes us die less, lol? I think you should revert that change in your build.

My total chaos res was still not high enough to provide any significant benefit. And yes - I am dying much less now, very close to lvl95 at the moment.
Does anyone have an updated pob tree?
Decided on this starter for this league to start something new, and it's been doing good! I've had zero luck on drops so I've had to make due, but I made a bunch of upgrades last night (+1 gloves, Xoph's, maxed chaos/divine flesh) and it's really starting to shine. I tried a few T16 maps and things were melting.

I've still got a lot to get and upgrade, but so far, for something on a budget (Maybe like 6-7ex worth total, from selling my other currency? The large cluster was the most expensive part; 8 passives, fuel/feed/smite and +3% chaos to small nodes) this has been overperforming for me.



I guess the one thing I'm slightly worried about is my single target DPS on end-game bosses eventually; I'm not sure how much better Poacher is going to be over Flammability

Corrupt the Kaom's
I also corrupted it just after sharing my last post, and it got a nice defense modifier, you can see it below :)

I also spent like extra 15 ex for my new belt and max res shield. They both worth it. I also got a corrupted blood immunity jewel with sword attack speed, % maximum life and projectile damage, and replaced the bleed immunity flask with forbidden taste.



I'm currently sitting on 8k hp and around 150k dps with all flasks active.

Sorry but for a viable end game with this build, you need divine flesh skill (the one makes you get %50 of damage as chaos) and maxed out chaos resistance. Otherwise, I recommend going on with other marauder builds.

That's a nice shield! Did you make it yourself or did you buy it? I've been keeping an eye out on max res/max chaos shields on the market and nothing good's been popping up
I'm still using Lioneye's Remorse; I've seen some shields with only one of the two max res lines, but I don't think it's worth the switch, considering I lose HP and like almost 10% physical reduction from losing all the armor...

again guys, this is BS.
the in-game tooltip for physical reduction represent mitigation against small hits which makes it useless.

in reality the armor from the shield will only mitigate about 1-2% of the damage against a big hit like the shaper's slam.
