[3.17] Hybrid's Molten Strike Jugg - Hold right click to TANK anything |MELT the Atlas|Divine Flesh|

How good is this build for delving (like 600+ too)?
I have played this build for about a week now and I have invested like 10-12ex in it and I'm now running T16. It's doing OK, nothing more, I don't die often but the bosses don't die either. Any metamorph/map boss take at least 2 minutes to die. Yesterday I did Baran in T16 and it litteraly took 10 minutes to kill. The build does no damage to the flags and therefore the fight is really long.

I'm no expert, but I think the build simply has too much life and not enough damage... I might try 2 grelwood or reroll and this point.

All in all, you're really tanky but everything take a LONG time to die.
Can we use flame dash as moving skill?
why mace and sceptre nodes?
"To sum up: in 3.9 the build will work about the same, just less damage and harder to gear.
i cant recommend it as a league-starter until we get an idea of the new drop rates."

How good is this build in 3.9?
Love this build! Having a great time with it. Still missing a few pieces of gear but getting closer. Thank you so much for the guide Hybrid!
HI,

So tombfist doesnt have the % attack speed on them anymore, are they still best in slot for gloves?

Thanks!

No damage, helmet and amulet 50+ ex, waste my time in this league
Just wanted to give my 3.9 feedback as a newer PoE player (but a lifetime ARPG player). I see lots of people asking and others commenting.

Overall, it has been pretty smooth. I ran into a few walls while gearing up and leveling. i was getting gibbed or i wasn't doing any damage, but updating my gear solved those until the next wall.

Overall I have most of the items of the build. I cruise through T14-16 maps and clear very quickly. Until I got my LGOH Watcher's Eye (with fire dmg Anger mod) it was definitely slower and i died more than i should, as i was severely lacking LGOH which was me not following the build. Getting 30 LGOH solved that completely.

My playstyle is basically leap slamming while holding down right click. I blast through juiced up maps, usually only having to stop if a rare monster survived the first 1-2 volleys, or sometimes blue packs with union of souls or whatever.

Metamorphs can take a bit to kill depending on the mods.. i'm running Awakener lvl 5 right now, and killing most meta's pretty easily with no deaths. I learned a valuable trick to fighting them... I just leap slam in a triangle around them while dps'ing. Usually about 1 second or so between leaps. This keeps fortify up, dodges any stupid stuff, and also keeps my Beltimber +2 MS projectiles buff going. It's mostly to dodge any burst damage that you might not see in the spam of shit.

Elderslayers are easy. I use the same triangle strategy + any specific mechanics that fight requires. Drox is a pain in the ass because the build doesn't have enough DPS to deal with his tankiness and stupid banners. He's the only one i have issues with though. I never die or anything, just takes a long time. I suspect going into Tribal Fury and using Elemental Damage support will help a lot here.

I attempted Sirus once and cruised through phase 1 then the fight glitched out and i couldn't get it out of first storm phase. The bug where the ring never despawns and Sirus never comes back.

All that said, i started this build with Naventis' youtube one. It's based on and credits this Guide but slightly different. The main differences is I am using Grel + Beltimber for the Point Blank + Farshot multipliers, i'm using a slightly different tree, and my aura & CDWT setup is different.

I'm running:

CWDT(17) + IC(17) + Flame Golem (more thematic than Lightning) + Blood Rage (17).

CWDT + Flammability + Cold Snap

Anger + Vitality + Portal (plan to switch this out if i can get a level 3+ Enlighten)

I'm also toying with the ideal of switching IC out for Vaal Molten shell. This would give me a button to push if i just want to face tank everything and DPS more.

Another change i did was taking the purity of flesh life + chaos res nodes in lieu of the 5% nodes in the big life rectangle. This loses me a couple % of max life but gains me a lot of chaos res which is a big deal this league. To supplement this i also have gone w/ Pantheon's to reduce DoT/Chaos and poison immune. After these metamorph's or Green Elderslayer never kill me.

Edit: I just did a quick test in PoB (i'm using LI's fork for fixes to ailments, multistrike, etc) to see what it would look like going for Tribal Fury and replacing AC with EDWA... pretty substantial dps boost. The moldydwarf calculator shows me at 2.5m shaper dps without AC checkbox (meaning TF not being counted in final boss dps). With it checked and scaled down to 1.25 DPS is 3m. I think the 2.5 is more accurate single target. So overall... does it nuke bosses as fast as a Vaal doublestrike build? No, but it does it, and does it very tanky/safely in a league where insta-gib 1-shots are very prevalent.

thanks for your input.
i would suggest squeezing in "Blood and Sand" for a nice dps boost with little mana reservation cost.
this would require at least lvl3 enlighten tho.
