In Path of Building I tried to make a +3 bow so I check the DPS before purchasing, I already have a pretty good rolled Lioneye's Glare, so I wanted to check. When I made one and equipped it, it dropped my DPS also my poison DPS etc. I was expecting it to increase because of the +3 and with a lvl 16 vicious projectiles as well.
Does PoB not calculate the +3 to socketed gems and the vicious proj support? Or is the Lioneye's Glare just the best in slot?
+3 bows are mostly good for caustic arrow and dots. Since we are running attack/dot/poison build, scaling just the dot does not give us a lot of dps.
Dot is the main dmg of the build and toxic rain, attack are near 10% of overall damage.
I tested in standard with any possibile combination and items: increase dot dmg is the most viable source of dmg. Especialy if you don't use Lioneye and have low accuracy your attack miss quite often
This is why Quill Rain was the best weapon in slot before, for stacking pod and so dot dmg
I hope you are not mixing DoT with Poison, cause poison does much more damage here.

Used this as base then made a few personal tweaks and was able to kill Uber Elder after some practice. (I just added more defensive layers like blind, slow, web, hinder and more slow)
*My crafted bow was waaay far from perfect but it did the job.
Quick question, I noticed the build goes up to scion life wheel and also the resist cluster. Anyone tried playing as scion and doing unnatural instinct 2 x meek?
(Someone correct me if I'm wrong) but I'm guessing either Elder Grove or Shortbow would be optimal due to having the highest base attack speed of 1.50.
