Remember that Vis takes 20% life from minions, so they are more likely to die in endgame content.

Life is always better than ES because ES has a 2 second delay on recharge. You need to build for ES to make it useful (through faster recharge or some sort of gain like with Diadem).





I just randomly chose gear that looked like the best available option and seemed like it just gave me a good amount of es. So to get the most life as possible from gear is there something we can look for or do besides getting the highest life on gear?

V2 is basically a tank build. You'll pay for it with DPS.

The PoH v1 build is actually last league's build and it's a balance of DPS and survivability. It's actually not fully optimised though. The next major build update will be PoH v2 and it will focus on DPS.

All the cold skills are pretty bad for EE proc.

Have you considered using fire spectres?




So I want to reach 100 on my summoner (95 70% right now), and I dont feel super confident in doing end game bosses (mastermind, uber elder, etc) without dying since I havent played since Betrayal and pretty rusty, also the only times I've done uelder was on a broken Poet Pen Zerphi VD build that just stands still and dont die.

Considering I have over 50ex to throw at this build, you think it's worth making a 2nd summoner with V2 wandshield to use for endgame bosses, and keep PoH build for grinding maps on my main? Or can the V2 PoH handle end-game bosses very well? Right now I dont feel as tanky as I'm comfortable with on old PoH, sitting at 6k hp 2.7k ES with 40% MoM (Watcher's eye clarity), 35% phys reduction, 37/10 block. How does it compare for V2 PoH?

Also, for the fire specters idea. I tried solar guards and RVA(Lightning) in the past, was not as satisfied with their damage as Slave Drivers, since they seem more focused on clearspeed/wide aoe than pure damage. With V2 PoH in mind and the crazy DPS output on it, do you think that high DPS can translate to Fire Specters, or is it only possible with Slave Drivers? I know that other specters dont quite do the same dps as SD, but let's say you managed to double the SD's DPS, is the other specter's DPS also doubled? I guess the Fire spectres would be decent for my taste with that boost in damage.

Does Commander of Darkness affect minions as well? or does it only affect partied allies? If if does affect minions, if I want to go the DPS route, isnt Commander of Darkness better than Plague Bringer?

You cant, only special uniques dropped from Catarina are veiled and appear to be crafted.


Wait then how come when I view Kayella's character, his Devouring Diadem has +15% to lightning and chaos resistances enchant on it?

I tested in PoB and Commander gives little bit more dps than PBringer. Had to create custom jewel with "minions deal 10% more damage" to test since I couldn't find "there are nearby corpses" setting from pob.

If you want to go the true DPS route, you'd take both Plague Bringer and Commander of Darkness.

Commander of darkness does affect minions, and give a bit more dps than Plague bringer (around 5% more) whereas plaguebringer offers a little more survivability/aoe (unless you're not capped resist, then Commander helps for survivability too).

When will the new version of PoH come out? I may be swapping again LMFAO.

Also, will there be any super end game items added to the W&S build? Flasks, gear etc?
First time playing necromancer, on act 5 and have 3 spectre's, 3 slave drivers but only 1 is using the lightning attack is this normal?
Question: Why keep Armageddon Brand at level 1? Is it purely to be more mana efficient? I have a 23% quality one that I'm at level 17 on and I'm not having too much of a problem with mana. I'm at 1260 mana, 983 reserved, and 277 available.

Yes, mana. And there is no need to have >1 lvl gem, it`s only triggers EE.
