We use Necromantic Aegis & Victario's Charity. With 4 spectres that each cast an aoe spell about 3-4/sec, you should have frenzy charges at all times.

You have the gist of it. Flame Dash does trigger EE and using it means not need to stop to cast Holy Flame Totem. Everything else is exactly right.

20/20 Flesh Offering has a base 6s duration (3s base + 2.5s from 5 corpses from desecrate with +10% duration from 20 quality).

For legion, just keep moving, never stop. The big hits have a big wind up. You can even Flame Dash around to keep them from being able to hit you.

Since I focus on spectre summoning, I'm hoping there aren't any major changes to spectres. Most of the teasers so far have addressed the problems with Zombies, and to a lesser extent, Skeletons.

The Carrion Golem seems interesting, though. If it's sufficiently powerful, I might resurrect my spectre/golem version from 3.2 as a build variant.

I'll have a build update when patch notes are released to get the build ready for league start. And people's feedback on the guide will help me tweak the build through the first few weeks.

Yes, the build reserve 97% mana which means you get around 27 to play with. It's quite low but should be enough to cast the self-cast spells as long as you don't try to mindlessly spam them (which is unnecessary).

Let me know how you get on. The current tree is a slightly different version to the original which had more reserve mana reduction.

ps. you might want to unlink the Armageddon Brand socket - enhance increases the cost from 15 to 17.

Unfortunately, auto-cast or triggered spells don't proc it. So the only minion spell we self cast is Convocation. This isn't a problem because you'll be using Convocation to re-position your spectres against big bosses, and that's when the 20% damage boost is really helpful.

Ok so I have two main skills that I use besides 'Armageddon Brand' ('Flame Dash' and 'Convocation').

I can see where quality (less cooldown) helps 'Flame Dash' but am I better of not leveling it to save on its mana cost?

Same thing for 'Convocation' quality for cooldown is nice, but do I really need the life regen. Again I can hold back on the level to reduce the mana.


--edit I have been running with 29 mana and every things seems to be working fine. I really don't think that taking them to 20 is going to be much more different than where I am now (mana wise).

I'm currently leveling this build to try it out in SSF. To see if i generally like summoners come ther rework next patch.

Would you recommend to just follow the tree as usual (league starter version) and skip necromantic aegis, unless i find a charity?

Yeah that's perfectly fine. You probably won't even notice until you're doing red tier maps.

Spectres are a little difficult to use in SSF because you will need to have at least 3 spectres.

So you need to get lucky with at least 1 of these drops:
1a. Vis Mortis (+1 spectre chest)
1b. Rare +1 spectre chest in delve
2a. Bones of Ullr (+1 spectre boots)
2b. Bound fossil in delve and crafting a +1 spectre boots

SSF is better suited to Skeletons or SRS...

Flame Dash level affects the cooldown of the 2nd and 3rd casts. When you have full charges (3), the first cast is always instant. So you can leave it at level 1/0.

Convocation's level increases the amount of minion life regen. Level 1 gives 19.2 and level 20 gives 116. The spectres have 40k hp, so it doesn't really matter what level Convo is. 20% quality will give a nice bit of extra cooldown, though.

Coudn't you potentially do white maps easily with just 2 spectres? I can be a very very patient white map farmer when it comes to stuff like that, as i'm not a racer anyway. And sooner or later i would get one of these 4 things
