I am doing something very very wrong, Can someone help me? I tried to upgrade to the specter build with the devouring diadem, but I feel like my character is completely bricked now after investing over 10ex worth of gear on her. At least with the original league starter build I could clear low red maps but with this build I just die and do so much less damage its such a letdown after all the hours I spent into changing/acquiring all the gear and gems -_-

I haven't looked at the POB (short on time) - but what caught me out during my transition was that the ascendancy tree actually changes during the transition the Pure Spectres(which gives 30% ele resists to make up for the loss of helmet and glove resists). That would help substantially with survivability.
With regards to damage, just confirming you are running Syndicate Operatives? I don't think this setup works with the Frost Auto Scouts

Thanks! This is simply astonishing - I had no idea such items even existed. But so few - the cheapest online at the moment is 1 mirror - a little bit outside my achievable budget. I think I will have to make do with 310k DPS. I have 280k now, with unleveled Awakened gems, and it melts in T16.
I also looked at the new HoP build, it looks interesting, but too squishy for me. I like the simpler playstyle of the old Pure Spectre SO, and with flasks up, it is relatively tanky.

Completely different question - but has anyone with these builds managed to do the "Complete Encounters IV" challenges?
In particular, the ones where you have to wait around for things to happen before gunning down the boss as below.
- Defeat Nightmare's Omen in Primordial Pool Map while there are at least 8 Rune Traps active.
- Defeat Mirage of Bones in Leyline Map while there are at least 3 Clones active.
- Defeat Blackguard Avenger and Blackguard Tempest in Promenade Map while all players are affected by Conductivity.

I would also like to know this re: Elemental Equilibrium. Is it the skitterbots shocking and chilling first? do they just automatically hit things first?
Is there anything special we need to do to proc Elemental Equilibrium with a specific element?

Minions don't proc EE. We do with Armageddon brand when using the pure spectre build. That also applies the frostbite curse assuming you have the ring.
Edit: and the starter version of the build has Storm Brand to proc EE + curse.

Aah thanks for the info I have indeed been using frost auto scouts so I will try to locate some syndicate operatives, (if I can survive long enough), it has been a process of trial and error with me too which started with the ascendancy and the amulet passive giving me a slight boost. my hp is most certainly not enough (under 5k) I think I have probably just spread my gear out badly, I'm currently gradually upgrading the gems to the more expensive versions

Okay, so I have been trying to use this build for the Frost Auto-Scouts. I am following the links and gear suggestions in the post, but when looking at the PoB, it is only set-up for SO and Crabbies.
Should the same tree work just as well for the Auto-Scouts, or are there some changes that should be made? I have already investing well over a 100 exalts into gems and gear and am not finished yet. I wanted to make sure prior to further investment.
There are some questions other than tree building, such as the Triad Grip gloves. Are they needed for the Auto-Scouts? They already perform a cold damage spell, why use gloves to convert?

EDIT : I would assume the purpose of the Triad Grip is to convert Carrion Golem damage? And I see now that Armageddon Brand is tossed in there too, for EE.
Most people use either SO's for their clearing speed or Crabs for their single target dmg with the pure spectre build. Triad gloves are for SO's to convert their damage type. Golem and ag don't deal any meaningful damage, they are just buff bois. Check my other reply regards to EE.

Yeah you absolutely want to use SO's since you are using their gem setup and triads. If you mean awakened gems those are the last thing you should worry about. They cost a lot and you have so much more you could replace that would be more beneficial. Just regular gems with 20 quality will be more than enough.
Some of your gear pieces have either no life at all or incredibly little of it. You also want a trigger wand so you have your bone offering up most of the time. It's a huge QOL. Your large cluster is wrong. Your medium clusters have too many passives. One of the small clusters is supposed to have Enduring Composure.
Switching to SO's and getting more life on your gear, making sure you have enough dex and fixing your gems (quality and level, no need for awakened gems yet) will go a long way.

Your best bet is to hunt on /global 6666. Also happy to help if we happen to be on at the same time
