The helmet gives +3, so you don't need +1 amulet. Change amulet to Aul's Uprising (haste or hatred) and you can still use 3 aura (maybe 4 if you squeeze!).
I've recently made the switch to both of these. Also i recommend u make a essence crafted helm since the 30% flat damage increase is petty huge.
Crafting them was much cheaper than buying.
I think the most optimal way of using them is switching to 3 crit clusters and CI. You will need aul's uprising with discipline (if ur going ci) or hatred (or haste if ur not going ci).
Gems are Fork + Gmp + ele damage with attacks for mapping
and deathmark + vic proj + ele damage for bossing.
DPS is pretty insane POB showing around 120mil.
How expensive is switching to CI, I have like 70ex+ and didn't buy the helm and shield yet.
What do i actually need to even change, body armour i guess and tree?

Just realized i would be missing dex if i change my amulet, that would be a bit problematic now, need to switch some other items to compensate.

Well the switch is not super expensive. Also i've been crafting everything for myself which makes the cost much lower.
U get delve minion rings and crusader orb % es onto them. I honestly dont know how much they cost but the base with t1 es and t1-t2 int i got for 2ex each. You can also find bases with dex if u need it.
U can also get a huge ES crystal belt pretty cheap and crusader it just like the rings. Also im using a hh but u dont need it.
Aul is around 18-22ex. Hatred one will give u a lot of dex.
Rest of the gear i've recrafted into energy shield from life:
. Best way of doing it is buying bunch of defense seeds and doing the rolls. Now getting double high tier defence on each is very hard and that gear is very expensive but u don't need it. My current gear nets me around 7k ES.
U will also need another cluster set thats around like 5ex for full set.

cause iv'e been dying a lot since i switched to my 2nd cluster setup, didn't even get why tho, i gained life (went from like 5400 to 6200), but started dying much more often, and cause of that got stuck at 96.
Maybe with double the damage ill kill everything before it kills me lol.

Yes, I think so.
I actually use Pure Spectre build in deli league and I could carry Simulacrum, so I thought it would be OK for 3.11. But I realised new summoner players need more defensive build and then show DPS build as upgrade path.
The forum guide is very complicated and easy to break! so I need time to change it.
But definitely 3.12 build will balance DPS/def better.
To be honest it's a matter of experience,i enjoyed the dps zoom zoom mode cause i was kinda comfortable with the necro playstyle.And many people on poe ninja follow the dps approach of kill everything in sight first
If you wish the guide to be made in a more noob friendly approach though,yeah it should be changed to have some more defences
Is there a reason fork is used over awakened chain?
Its more a matter of preference,afork will hit more targets in front but achain will hit targets in front row and back,try them both,i did and stayed with afork for now
I'm not gonna lie. I don't think I can really upgrade my gear to get "worthwhile" increases in DPS anymore. I have around 50 ex saved up because I was just going to straight up buy a +2 hatred wand. But I realized switching from Flesh Offering to Bone Offering (so I don't die in rippy maps) I didn't really lose much clear or single target damage on bosses. Bosses die maybe one second slower? I also want to level this character as my first level 100 so I definitely think Bone Offering is superior to Flesh Offering since I always run 120%+ juiced maps. I was enjoyed Flesh Offering while it lasted but it just doesn't feel good to gain experience and to lose it death after death in juiced up maps since Flesh Offering makes me feel so squishy. Glancing Blows & Bone Offering is more than enough to hit max attack/spell block chance and it makes me feel much tankier. No real reason I brought this up. Maybe I'm just venting a bit since I got to around 50% at level 96 to 97 and changed from Bone to Flesh and lost all the experience and have made the decision to just stick with Bone. LOL.
I actually Like being tanky too, I got 30% lower CD enduring cry enchant on my helmet and I change my build to run 5 endurance charges and Steelskin to Enduring Cry. I also got Call to Arms. I dropped Holy Flame Totem, Rocked CWDT + Immortal Call. I literally just run into mobs now lol. I think this is better for me because I'm still learning boss mechanics and I die less/slower to actually learn them.

Well its as huge as it says:
u will do a flat 30% MORE dps with it (and crafting method for it is different and much more expensive which explains the cost increase). Also i don't think buying the helm without it is worth especially not 35-30ex. I would say thats a big scam.
U can make this budget version of the helm yourself for like 10ex np.
Here's a short guide:
1 - Buy shaper i86 (like 130c)
2 - Awakener orb (4ex) it into shaper/elder
3 - Spam bound fossil for +3 gems and t1/t2 Minion Damage (average 50 bound fossils so like 3ex).
4 - Block all prefs and Harvest craft t1 Hypothermia with augment cold (just bench craft cold res and augment cold - hypo is the only cold suff it hits) - like 30c per try
5 - Harvest craft t1 Spell crit with augment caster (only caster suffix) - like 15c per try.
So crafting cost on average like 10ex.
But i don't think its worth crafting or buying as the dps increase isn't that big over diadem.
Also i would say buying the 30% version is totally worth it. I think u can get like t2/t3 minion dmg for 55ex. Crafting it urself is a little complicated and expensive. Its possible to make it for like 10-15 ex but it can also take like 35-40ex depending on your luck. So u need at least 30ex crafting budget and a lot of patience.
I'll make a guide on how to craft both bone helm and necro aegis shield for both high and low budget versions.

I got myself a shield for now, and still have 50EX for upgrading (if ill get unlucky and i most probably will i wont have enough for the Aul amulet), i can try and make the helm, i guess it involves essence spamming or something?
I have no clue though...

i'm thinking about switching to CI as well, as with necro aegis and this new sheild, my dps increased to over 5mln per spectre, but i die quite a lot and will have to balance it out soon :)
