Hey guys, how much of the damage do spiders really make up for the S&S build? My buddy was thinking of using malevolence and some chaos damage scaling gems to help spiders do more single target dps. But I'm not sure if they really would be worth buffing in that way.

As I said Elemental proliferation support has 20% chance to freeze, shock and ignite. So RS just ignite the enemies and then they can kill them.
It seems that slave driver's lightning surge deal more damage to burning enemies (tested on Alleyways Map's Boss(white map)). Be careful with Acid caverns map boss, my AG died 2 times on it=(. I prefer to use for AG Armour with gain Endurance charge every second when hit mod, victario's flight with +1 to max endurance charges (corrupt mod), kingmaker, rare gloves with resistances + minions deal increased damage, Maw of Conquest or good rare Helmet. My gem setup for AG is: AG+Meat shield+Minion life/Elemental Army Support

"Elemental Proliferation is a support gem that causes elemental ailments applied by supported skills to affect nearby enemies."

The ailments Freeze, Shock and Ignite can only be applied with a corresponding elemental damage. If you dont have a source of fire damage u cant ignite, if no cold damage u cant freeze and so on. If they could ignite so easily the entire build would fail and Speakers wreath would have no purpose in this build.

Elemental proliferation means it "spreads" an existing ailment from one monster to the rest of the monsters nearby. You have to be able to ignite a monster first and we dont have any source of minions do fire damage in this build unless you have some jewels which have that mod.

Honestly then I am confused as to what is going on. In Kay's video on S&S she freezes a mob and nothing happens with me the mob freezes and then some of them die without me using desecrate. I'm not using anything funny didn't socket any jewels yet just following the build and now I have to run into maps and spam desecrate for a while before spiders start spawning... Don't get me wrong the 4 RS specters I have are good enough for a start and once those spiders start coming they don't stop... I'm just confused about the start... Is it possible that the mobs shatter due to being frozen?
You character is hidden so cant look at your gear.

While doing Syndicate Farming I occasionally do "A9 Foothills" spamming to get a few free Jun missions just to finally push one of the Intervention or Research safehouses to Raid status.

That long story is to say that my specters cant kill even A9 regular mobs as long as I dont accidentally use discrete. They freeze all the monsters around but nothing dies, atleast no spiders spawn and you really cant count the number of monsters to be certain xD.

Regardless, if an occasional mob dies because of some unknown mechanics it still doesn't cause problems with maintaining spiders. I never have that problem. I actually despawn my spiders before a major boss encounter and use the jar to spawn a fresh batch and the 45second they stay is good enough for all but phased bosses including conquerors. And with Ryslatha's minor power even that is not a problem even with shaper elder guardians as the jar fills during the 45 second period.

I can show u with my discord live if you wish. Cant help you with why your specters are killing things without looking at your gear.

I am a bit conused.
Death Attunement is part of the tree and is mentioned as Attunement for the amulett.
Was it not part of an older version of the tree and the guide was not correctly reworked.
Which would be a good attunement then for a build like this?

I'm playing the basic build, and have Ravenous Horde annointed.

But yeah, I had been wondering this and would love to hear what others think would be better!

Once you get Death Attunement annointed on your amulet, you can spec out of the passive points to spend elsewhere.
