In general, it's extremely difficult to have enough minion life from your passives and gem levels at that point, so they will most likely die very fast. If you are using Zombies, you can't rely on them for bosses.

So for acts 1-4, you will need another source of DPS for bosses. I think that most people would recommend either Summon Raging Spirits (SRS) or Skeletons. Personally I recommend Skeletons. You will have to constantly summon them against the bosses in acts 1-4, but after act 4, then your zombies should be strong enough to survive and also your spectres will come on-line too. After that you can drop skeletons/SRS if you want to, or even keep using them, it's up to you.

GGG is being sneaky here and stealth nerfed minions (as well as pretty much everyone else). Minimal stuff in patch notes but I had a quick peek at the new skill tree and most of our notables have some minior nerfs to either damage, accuracy rating or attack speed.

Examples
Lord of the dead lost the 30% accuracy rating for 5% more life.
Gravepact lost 2% minion attack speed
Spiritual aid lost 10% accuracy and 15% minion damage
Many more minor ones...

Best to load up your build on old PoB, then compare damage to new PoB and see what the overall nerf is...

It looks like some spell block nodes got buffed, so the build will be able to reach higher block values, especially with increased effect of offerings chest.

I changed my POB to 3.11 tree and there's a few small things here and there. It's not super bad, though! I think only 5% or less.

I don't think GGG will do any stealth nerf. Usually they say something about obvious nerf. 3.10 they said some monstres are too powerful as spectres and we got them already nerfed. 3.7 was the last major nerf because CFE was added to Act 1 (used to be Merciless difficulty only) and they rebalanced the skills.

So, we good for 3.11 right? :)

@kayella: I already started with this build in metamorph league, I used slave drivers, I sticked with the life version build. That absolutely dominated the content. I have to say a big THANKS for one of the best and deepest guide out there!!!
I will try this again with redemption sentries as a league start. I really appreciate the work you put in there!

I made the new Base Build for league start and SSF a balance of DPS and tank. So at level 90 has:
+ 230% life from tree
+ 50% evade with jade
+ 20% phys damage reduciton with basalt
+ 60/30 block with flask and bone offering
+ 10/10 attack/spell dodge with quartz

I just used my self-crafted equipment for the build.

It can be tankier but DPS becomes low...

I see you run "Mistress of Sacrifice" but saw in other builds that people run "Bone Barrier" or "Plaguebringer" instead.

Whats the advantage/disadvantage between those 3 nodes?

My plan is to make a video about early levelling tips! I hope I have time to make it. (・・；)

For merveil, use two sapphire rings is really important. To fight her I put HFT near her and then cast some SRS and then move, cast SRS and move. But I'm thinking of switching build to skeleton because people are having trouble with SRS.

Dominus is similar. The most dangerous part is the adds before him actually. If zombies die then you can just ignore or find a safe place to desecrate and raise again...

Also remember to make Flask of Animation!
