Yes, you can use desecrate in your hideout, and Kay has a trick to save spectre in another character

Why the hell would you put them on a 4-link? Farm tabula early, in a new league.

You can get a 5L just as fast as you get a tabula, plus you progress the atlas. self-farming tabula is a bad idea. Also this was done in SSF from 0, in a trade league i would just sell some random stuff for a 5L/Tabula

Thats what I was saying a few pages back. I ran for 68 to 90 twice trying SD vs RS. I really think SD is much better until you can 6 link RS AND they ahve enough DPS to clear one a single hit. If they can't clear trash on a single hit the slow attack speed gimps them tremendously.

This. Farming a tabula is a waste of time. Its not needed. By the time you need a 6 link, mid yellow, you can either buy a corrupted 6 link or a tabula easily if trade league. IF SSF then you might have to farm one.

Let me explain why impale is a thing:
A skellies with impale and multistrike will apply a lot of impale stacks that will be insta consumed by zombies for insane burst of damage. And it happens after every skellie hit...

So I was thinking of something like skeletons or SRS as main until 3 spectres and some lab so the spectres are tanky and don't die.

Maybe use delve spectre beacause they have 500% life. Cannibal Fire-Eater has nice damage but early level spectres have low life and it's too difficult to raise spectre in middle of boss fight.

It's more like 6L because minion damage and conc effect are only elder damage mods. If it's minion life + dmg, then the damage is just 5L.

Minion damage + conc is good for aoe spectres only. So SD, and fireball spectres like SG. RS can't use it. Better for SG/RVA because SD with reduced aoe has very small hit area and makes mapping slower.

You can also use aetheric fossil to get +3% crit to socketed spell (gives minion +3% base crit).

7L needs horror essence for 30% ele damage. (more like 6.5L).

I guess for SD, minion life helps a lot, though!


For best RS helmet, you need shaper/elder for minion damage + hypo. It's not a bad option actually! Buy high life +1 str body armour (much cheaper than int). Then buy elder with minion damage + helmet with hypo and awakener orb.


Minmax RS/RK (also good for other spectres if you can apply chill for hypo).
1. i86 elder/shaper bone.
2. spam horror essence until hypo 20 + 3% spell crit + 30% ele (3x suffix)
3. craft suffix cannot be changed
4. exalt slam -> get minion damage 20
5. if you don't get minion damage, scour -> go to 3
if you get minion damage -> slam again -> get +3 minion gem
if you don't get +3 minion gem, scour -> go to 3

+3 minion gem
minion damage 20
hypo 20
+3% spell crit (gives to minion)
30% more ele damage
1 empty prefix

If you are spectre hunting, take off anything that eats corpses. Kitava Teaching, Diadem, Trigger wand with offering.

Then slowly kill all monsters with your current spectres.

When everything is dead and it is safe. hold your A key and move mouse over all corpses.

Take your time. Go slowly. Corpses are overlap.

If you can find the one you want, open portal and go back to HO.

Raise more spectres in HO. It is much easier in HO.

pro tip: save spectres in spectre bank alt!

If you haven't tried S&S, you might be surprised how fast it is. You can also tune it for fast mapping or better bossing or a balance with some gem swaps. Pure spectre is stronger for bossing, but S&S is better mapper.

In new league I always try to get Arakaali's Fang as soon as possible.

once i settle for 4L spectres i have 2 4Ls and 2 3Ls

4L spectres and 4L skellies in helmet and body, depends on colors i get.
3L Zombie HFT Phantasms in wand
3L Infernal skitterbots in wand

And the standalone in boots and gloves. I am not shy to use jewellers and chromes. it is a bit of pressure, but buying white basses with the sockets and using essences helps a lot.

Also, i use spectres as clear helper so main link is 4L skellies, spectres can wait cuz infernal skitter plus zombies with phantasms and convocation clear pretty well. Not orb of storms tier, but good enough to not feel spectres missing.

Edit: Afet Kitava or just before, if i get lucky essence i swap to wand and shield

Edit2: i will try delve spectres, cuz i hate when my Flame Sentinels die on Act4 Piety. It's Piety why i change to Revi in act 4...
