So I need the most powerful blue gem, which is ele focus, but I lose chill/freeze.
Another potential option for mapping would be to socket Elemental Army as your 3rd spectre gem and use something else for your Animated Guardian.

But yeah, your analysis about the gem sockets is correct for optimal.

Personally, I haven't actually been using elemental focus even on bosses in the hopes that the chill is helping but not sure if it's worth it. Just been using Awakened Cold Penetration instead.

That's a good point ... use elemental army, 29%+ ele damage, -10% to their resists... that's probably in the vicinity of what ele focus is doing but i retain the chill/freeze.

It removes the max resist from AG but I don't think I need that anyway, with kingmaker and other good gear.

I might do that and keep my armor the same.
I assume you are talking about support gems for Redemption Sentries? Here is a setup that can work for both mapping and bosses, without white sockets:

3B 2G 1R

For mapping:
Raise Spectre
Minion Damage (awakened if you have it)
Deathmark
Pierce
Lesser Multiple Projectiles
Elemental Damage with Attacks (awakened if you have it)

For bosses replace Pierce and LMP (both green) with Hypothermia and Vicious Projectiles (also both green). So you aren't changing any colors.

And neither setup uses Elemental Focus so you don't give up freeze
Loving this build so much, been at it for a few months on and off.

edit: solved my own problem... thanks for the great build :)

As I understand pledge of hands is for caster spectres like slave drivers, yes? And with redemption sentry it doesn't give dps :D

P.S. hypo instead ele focus seems more efficient

For bosses, Elemental Focus is definitely stronger than Hypothermia, so if you have a white socket you should use it. I only suggested Hypothermia for those that don't yet have access to white sockets and need to replace same-color gems for mapping/bossing.

I already have a 3b/3w chest ;)

I'm wondering the perfectly optimal setup of sockets and gems.

I think I'm going to chromatic the chest to 3b/2g/1r then vorici slam it until I get one of the below:

--2b/1r/1g/2w
--2b/1r/0g/3w
--2b/0r/1g/3w
--1b/1r/1g/3w

... all of which will allow me to run perfect skill gem combos for mapping and bossing.

Always (2b/1g/1r):
--Raise Spectre
--Awakened Minion Damage
--Awakened Elemental Damage w/ Attacks
--Awakened Vicious Proj

Mapping (+2g):
--Pierce
--Lesser Projectile

Bossing (+2b):
--Awakened Elemental Focus
--Deathmark

It dosent work in pob. If i will use a shield with +2 power and frenzy and aegis how much more damage will i get? Does it worth the life nodes i loose?
It works in PoB. Click on Configuation, and select "minions use power charges" and/or "minions use frenzy charges".
I just did it in-game lost about 700 life, gained a lot of damage, everything melts, so i guess it's worth it. I dont think the aegis is hardcore viable unless you dont do so come content or go for es instead of life
