[3.11] Brittleknee’s SRS Necromancer - Reliable, Beginner-Friendly. All content. Harvest Ready!

Playing SRS again having not played since beastiary league and its super fun with unleash. I see no mention of Melee Splash in the guide, is it worth using for mapping and switching to something else for bosses?
Also, I think I would like to still use Spectres+Zombies, if I'm using Necromatic Aegis, which spectres should I go for? Although I'll probably just go with Act 7 apes and not use the Aegis notable. Would just like to know options

Melee splash for general mapping, ruthless if you feel the need of single target dps.
According to your setup you might find different need on the 6L for srs.
Last league I skipped empower, turned out to be less dmg for me.

As for NA personally I dropped it when I finally could afford a +2 wand in place of the shield and picked monkeys specters for charges but it's rather a personal choice.

Also, as early league tip, +1 all fire spell skill gems, very cheap.
With a free suffix you might want to get "trigger a socketed spell when you use a skill", addicting QoL.

When melee skills got their revamp, all auto-attack stills were given small AoE, including the melee attacks of minions. With how fast the SRS attack, having more out (Unleash) makes better sense to me than Splash. Of course, it all comes down to preference! The skill links are pretty modular!

Re: Empower vs. Ruthless, Ruthless is always better damage, but Empower makes the minions tougher by upping their level and life pool while providing damage. It's a comfort thing, and for me, I'd rather the minions survive what would be a full minion wipe in certain situations because they've got the extra life. That's just my 2C though!

Hi there, thank you for the build !

I've got one question: would "Life Gained on Spell Hit" Shaper mod for rings work on SRS ?

I mean for self healing, or would they heal the SRS instead ?

I know that linking SRS to LGoH would heal the SRS, but since the gem has the Spell tag and we own the ring, this should heal us and not the SRS, don't you think ?

The spell summons them into existence, but they are then treated as separate entities and only minion modifiers apply to them. Anything local such as spell damage, melee damage, life gain on hit, mana gain on hit does not apply to them unless provided by keystones and gear (such as a shield and Necromantic Aegis).

I like where your head is at in trying to think defensively, but the only Life Gain you'd be getting in this scenario would be your storm brand/orb of storm tics granting you life, not the SRS.

Meh, was worth trying to believe in something !
For the tankier version, any reason you use Victario's Charity without picking up Necromantic Aegis?

I can't imagine it is doing much for you.

The SRS still get Frenzies from it, even without NA. The SRS just need to be in range of your Storm Brand. Its less consistent in mapping, but more than consistent enough for bosses.

Doesn't look so for me. You can get a good value from some cluster jewels, but Rotten Claws appears only on the large ones and Raging Spirits convert 50% of their physical damage to fire damage, so it can hardly be "full phys" to begin with (Brutality Support doesn't stop them from doing so, just cuts off non-physical damage at the end).
