Hi All,
First of all, thanks for the build. One of the best I have been playing. A lot has been already written, but some small remarks that OP may consider in an update.

A lot of people complain about the price, getting the Choir, etc. It can be greatly mitigated with other gear choices. The only required items are the Poets. In the beginning, Doedre's Damning + Doedre's Scorn + 2 curses: Warlord's Mark and Conductivity/Assassin's Mark will give you tons of leech and nice DPS - all for few alchs. I was running this setup till mid-yellow maps, and the only inconvenience was bossing when I had to switch from HoT to ball lightning as a spell cursing on hit. The QoL improved a lot after getting Mind of the Council, but this meant drop in DPS. Since I had great mana leech, I dropped Warlord's Mark, and for the life leech, I used Valako's Sign. In PoB, it gave more DPS than Berek, and I bought almost ideal one for 30c. For DPS I used Marylene's Fallacy - almost perfect one 1c. Since, contrary to OP, I have rather mediocre jewels, crit multi from Marylene's Fallacy gave me more DPS than Choir, which I acquired later. The crit chance was managed by the gloves, on which I have crit strike against shocked enemies. Such gloves costed me 40c, which is way less than faster attacks gloves. Finally, I bought decent life leech rare amulet, and replaced Valako's Sign with Mark of the Shaper + almost random elder ring (to keep me busy crafting). DPS in PoB is similar to OP's, price is way lower, and I have more eHP....


I have also modified the links a little, as flame dash was a nightmare. Adding decoy totem really improved QoL for most of the boss fights. I just pop it up, and keep casting arc+ball lightning while the boss is dealing with totem. Why run yourself when you can make your enemy run?
I also liked the idea of CWDT + shock nova + CoH + conductivity. Way more reliable in boss fights than HoT. Concerning the Inpulsa links, I think 5L is enough, and blind can be put on abyss jewel. I also completely dropped frenzy, as I always forgot about it in boss fights. I ended up having only attack, totem, and orb of storms. The rest is pure magic :)

Whilst I agree on some skill changes, your HoT -> Shock Nova is pure sillyness. Curse or not, the sheer power 25% penetration gives you is literal "more" multiplier you're missing on as far as I understand resistances. You should fit that back in, especially since it takes reduced mana reserved.

I totally agree. This is why I have 6S5L Inpulsa. The 6th socket goes for HoT - maybe I should mention it clearer.

EDIT: The conductivity is used instead of assassin's mark just for better DPS. I do not care about additional leech nor power charges during mapping, and for bossing I have orb of storms.

Hi, quick question about the build if the thread is still alive.

I'm wondering if the Mastermind of Discord ascendancy node is really that worth it? I understand that we get stronger Heralds and more mana for MoM, but if the build's one weakness is elemental reflect then would it not be better QoL to take Paragon of Calamity? I've been using it instead of Master and it feels much more reliable.

The original build with Mastermind of Discord should have more DPS with the lightning penetration that comes along with using HoT. When you're wanting to kill bosses that is probably the stronger setup. I've been using Paragon of Calamity for leveling so I don't need to watch out for the ele reflect on maps. Just did Uber Atziri using this setup and damage wasn't a problem.
i understood that i will be losing a bit of dps if i took Paragon of Calamity for reflect immunity but i made up for the loss of dps with elemental damage / attack mods on belt and ring as the damage will be channelled to the main dps skill which is Barrage for boss fights.

No, you will be losing a shit ton of DPS by not having Mastermind of Discord.
After actually checking your profile I see you skipped Beacon of Ruin instead, which is even worse. Beacon of Ruin is literally the one thing that makes this build what it is - proliferating shocks and making your shocks at least 20% even on bosses.
I strongly suggest you revert this change. Paragon of Calamity isn't nearly as worth as people think it is. Reflect is almost an entirely negligible part of this game at this point.

Again, wrong. Barrage is only used to trigger your actual damaging abilities (Arc / Ball Lightning), which are not affected by the mods on your jewellery. Inc. elemental damage with attack skills is an entirely useless mod for this build.

I am level 74 and my HP is only 2.9k is this normal? I only have a few more items to spec out (gloves, ring) that can give me more HP from gear. Abyss jewels will give me a bit more, but still is that normal for my lvl to be at that low of HP?

Are you feeling squishy or just concerned about the lack of eHP at this point? If you're squishy, you might want to change some of your damage/crit jewels for life/mana ones until you level up a bit more. If you're just concerned and it's not a problem then just keep going. I remember thinking my life was way too low at some points along the way but as long as I was able to clear OK it was fine. I don't think it was until close to level 90 for me that I finally got above 4.5k. Now I'm above 5k after some min/maxing and still trying to tweak things.
